First and foremost, cut Smith...
-Start Carr, and move Davis to #2. Only reason I doubt Troy Smith is because he has only been here a few weeks and would not have good chemistry with the team.
-Continue to give rookies plenty of playing time
-ask Johnson to have more plays with Westbrook and Dixon
-Would have to fix our pass rush
-release micheal lewis
-Get ziegler more reps
-assess the punt returner and kick returner position again
just to name a few...

6. Be more aggressive on blitzes.
7. Keep Mike Singletary away from any game plans.
FIXED.

Personally I like Locker because he is the only bright spot on a horrible washington team; I think that is really impresive. He is a great scrambler so I see him being a Steve Young type player. I would also get rid of Takeo Spikes and replace him with Bowman. Alex will be gone unless he shows that he can be an elite nfl qb not just an average one.
Frank Gore would not get a #1 pick in return. We might be able to get a #2...

3, change the QB and name Snyder the starter over Rachal. Just give me a QB that can hit a WR in stride for 5+ yards. Spare me the "Alex did okay" BS. His stats only look good because Frank Gore makes yards out of his dump offs.
The last one would be to USE BRIAN FREAKING WESTBROOK!!!!! Seriously how do we give Delanie "The Drive Killer" Walker more touches than Westbrook?

On O:
More spread
Put in Z and get rid of Morgan
hurry up offense at least once in each half
get Westbrook in the backfield with gore and send both out on patterns
more misdirection plays
On D:
Keep Mays playing
More agressive (blitz) at crucial times, esp. on 3rd and long and at the end of the half or game.

Each time you throw an INT or fumble the football you lose a paycheck.

Release Alex the after the last game before the Bye-Week and give the other QB (preferrably Troy Smith) two weeks with the starting O to get ready...Ride that mutha through the end of the season and see what other Veteran QBs are out there at the end of the season and draft another QB for the future...

In a similar vein, I'm sure the Niners are doing some sort of touchdowns for charity program and thereby starving a lot of poor Bay Area kids. As HC, I'd invoke turnovers for charity and fatten up the poor little orphans.

Bench A Smith. IMO cant be much worse and has a higher chance he is the worst including Nate. Its like S Hill was let go because didnt want strong controversy. lol
No huddle, not hurry up, might be better with Alex.

O.C. : Let the money do the talking and bring in Dante Scarnecchia (NE), Joe Philbin (GB).
Secondary: Bring in an established Starting C.B. like Champ Bailey (Den), Johnathan Joseph (Cin), Eric Wright (CLE), Antonio Cromartie (NYJ) and mix match other players to fill in roster spot to refresh a bruised secondary.
CB: New Guy
CB: Clements
CB: Spencer
CB: Brown
SS: Mays
FS: Goldson
or

SS:Clemons/Mays
FS:Goldson/Mays
QB: P. Manning and Tom Brady contracts are up and anyone with any since would push to claim that price. But if all else fails then Matt Hasselbeck or Donovan McNabb would be a good replacement while rookie draft picks watch and learn.

What would you do or have done differently? I want legitimate answers about things that can be controlled and are under your control. Don't say things like "dump the QB cuz he throws too many picks" without having a better option at QB or "teach the DB's to secure to ball better at the end of a game" thoughts?

Since people are going to feel like they have wasted 10 seconds of their life after reading this thread, I will give them a little something to make up for it.
