This is stupid, 10 OL !!! and only 1 ILB unless they're going to train Briggs at ILB. When the commentators showed the starters yesterday I thought they made a mistake when they had Briggs at ILB

You are aware that we only have 9 healthy ones right now...and if we cut one that would leave us with 8 to start the season?

yup

A lot of teams only keep 8

7 even on gamedays

Wasn't Matt Wilhelm Unemployed last October? I'm just sayin, there's a good chance that he will still be around if we need an ILB...

well I guess Spikes and Willis will have to arm wrestle for the veteran courtesy in practice

I thought that was purely a training camp phenomenon.

Probably to keep both LaBoy and Briggs...

Spikes will get it. Willis still has young legs and you have to drag him off the field (game or practice). Briggs will see some time at ILB in practice and I gotta think we add a ILB to the PS.

Which is a good call. LaBoy was an absolute beast at times. Good call signing him.

hurt alot, inconsistent, would probably not make the gameday 45 with Bowman ahead of him

You do know that we have TWO rookies on the online, right? And that Heitmann has a broken leg? 10 sounds about right.

And you think that's smart?

ya

when the 3 backups can play 2 to 3 other positions.

Baas..injury prone
Heitman...coming off injury
2 rookies starting from Day 1

WE NEED DEPTH

Ok so If you happen to lose 4 OL to injury you would be in trouble! Or you could do what most teams do and pull up a player from that magical place called the practice squad. Its not like you can have all 5 backup OL active on gameday anyway.

i dont like the cuts were making

we shouldve kept mrob and willihem for sure

our only backup ILB is bowman

and you know more then the coaches who see them everyday in practice........

Really? Keep MRob? I'm so tired of people pulling for this guy. People step up on special teams! "Oh no he's a pro bowler on special teams" Who cares? Let us keep our young talent on the team instead of potentially losing them. Taylor Mays will be our ST ace! MRob isn't good outside of sometimes tackling people on the KO or P.

the knoeck on taylor mays was he was bad at coverage and bad tackling and all of a sudden he can do both?

The "coverage" you're talking about is from his safety spot. And have you not noticed him being the first person to be there when he's running down the field? I'm just saying a special teams ace is much more easily replaced than a young, promising pass rusher or CB. MRob doesn't do ANYTHING else other than sometimes tackle on ST. Take him out of the equation and it's filled up instantly with someone else. That roster spot is also reserved for someone who can help OTHER than on ST.

They are protecting Boone. Sims is the better backup at both tackle spots this year, but Boone probably wouldn't clear waivers and make it to the practice squad. This is smart, it's a long term view for the team for a change. Next year Sims is gone and Boone is the primary backup tackle on both sides.
Just heard Seattle is about to cut Housh
