Anyone know how long Alex is expected to play?
Ugh I had a dream we lost 3-42.
I would think that Alex is going to play a larger portion of the first half, seems to be the trend with other teams in week 2. It's going to be difficult to move the ball without the 3, but I'm hoping someone will take advantage of their absence, and step up and make some plays.

It will be difficult but honestly Alex has to make it happen. Morgan and Walker should be good enough to make some plays. He's done it before.

I just want to see a solid drive downfield.

Yes, if we can find a way to move the ball down the field with our 1st group, it would be a successful night.

Haha sadly that's the truth.

I'll be happy with 5/7 - 50+ yards and a TD or at least a drive that leads to a TD (pass or run).

its gonna be hard its the second string offense (not including o line) against a top 5-10 defense

I agree. Having the top 3 guys out makes it harder...but so what? This is a season of no excuses, just execution (not just for Smith, but for anyone who gets on the field for us).

I just want to see one good downfield drive that results in a TD.

Games are only going to get harder. I just want to see Alex make it happen. He doesn't have to be amazing just solid and on point.

It would be great to see a drive similar to what we saw from Smith in Indy last year, or at Seattle (had a few really nice drives), or some plays similar to the Jags game.

Again this is all stuff Smith has done. Not unreasonable to expect. It may be difficult with 2nd stringers but Morgan, Walker, Ginn, etc are very capable players.

I agree it will be tough, but a good opportunity for a tune up. If he can show something with limited weapons against a good defense, it would make me feel better.
can't wait!

looking forward to seeing Alex be more accurate; to see what Davis does with an earlier, extended look; to see who wants that #5 WR slot more, Ziggy or Hill; how the OLine plays in general; BOWMAN; Briggs, Mitchell, Mays; and, most importantly, I want to see everyone leave the game healthy.
I would be happy to see Alex Smith go 5-5 for 50+ yards no TD and then a missed FG as long as he shows me he can go 5-5 for 50+ yards lol

I want to see my boy Pee Wee Dixon gain another 100 yards.
