Vikings at 49ers Preseason Game 2

I see the niners being fired up for this game. I know its only preseason but that Viking game from last year left a bad taste in our mouths. I expect to see a lil more fire and desire than your avg preseason game. With the first team playing the first half I say we go up on the vikes early.

P.S.

I hope we kill Favre on the first play of the game. With Willis Knocking Favres head clean off his body. Then punting it back to Minn.

I'll be happy with 5/7 - 50+ yards and a TD or at least a drive that leads to a TD (pass or run).

its gonna be hard its the second string offense (not including o line) against a top 5-10 defense

Games are only going to get harder. I just want to see Alex make it happen. He doesn't have to be amazing just solid and on point.

It would be great to see a drive similar to what we saw from Smith in Indy last year, or at Seattle (had a few really nice drives), or some plays similar to the Jags game.

Again this is all stuff Smith has done. Not unreasonable to expect. It may be difficult with 2nd stringers but Morgan, Walker, Ginn, etc are very capable players.

Is it bad that I dont think Walker is very capable?

Mediocre hands and separation, but great YAC ability.

He's big and quick for his size. If Smith can dink and dunk his way downfield, Walker should be effective.

Well Raye's gonna have his 2-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust too.

On ESPN they had a Favre debut segment. Of course, nothing at all about the 49ers.


I don't normally wish hurt on people, but I hope we put Favre into permanent retirement.
