Not to mention...TWO ROOKIES PLUS A NEW CENTER ON THE OLINE. Now. You can be stupid and stubborn and just call them excuses, but the fact still remains they have a huge effect on both how the game was played, and what we can take away from it.

I have been patient since 2002 , we are on borrowed time in about 2 years minus 1 for possible NFL lock out, seattle will be a problem , All i want you is the excuses to STOP

Wow. Niner talk at its best. Its ONE damn preseason game. We have 2 rookie OL starting. Did you really expect them to come in and play like All Stars? Did you not expect them to struggle especially with their pass blocking? No Gore, no Crabtree, no Heitman and playing a very good team. The results are exactly what I would have expected.

Its a long season. I would expect to see improvement out of our rookie OL and understand that they will struggle many times like ALL ROOKIE OFFENSIVE LINEMAN DO.

It's very cliche- "coach-speak." Too bad he doesn't have anything more uplifting to say after that dismal performance from our first team- O.

I know ...we had starters out and two rookies on the line and not to mention going against one of, if not "the best" offense in the league right now.

Manning looks ready to start the season tomorrow and we look like we need another three weeks! Unfortunate.

People seem to forget that our offense would have scored a 50+ yard touchdown against the Colts starters had VD and Smith been on the same page. Those are the things that are going to iron out in time, and I would rather them be making those mistakes early on so they can learn from them.

On the other side of the ball, the Niners shut down the Colts offense from inside the 20 without Franklin and Willis playing. This team is going to be fine.
