Could be a beast on ST, but should only see the field on D in blowouts, maybe obvious running situations.
him and bowman gonna be our key special teamers this year

NFL....every reciever is the best reciever Mays ever covered in college, quaterbacks are better and theres more pressure to perform.

basically hes NEVER gonna be a cover safety and unfortunetly thats exactly what we need.

someone missed his catch last night...

I saw it .....AND???

He played coverage and that's what your saying he can't do. Coach said that Mays earned that interception. He was not taught to go after the ball in USC but he is now, and he got a pick. An interception vs second stringers in the nfl is better than a couple of interceptions in college.

I think Mays will end up starting in the second half of the season, but it won't be because he has "earned" the spot.

He'll earn a spot with the second team and then will take over when Michael Lewis has another concussion.

If you're right, then I hope for Lewis's sake its not career ending or potentially worse. That is not S**t you mess with.

Damn unfortunatly I think your gonna be right. Lewis isnt gonna change the way he plays, he's gonna come up and knock the snot out of ya if he can. Only a matter of time. Whether they ttrust Mays to come in to start and play the whole game, well we'll see.
I am impressed by his desire and work to get better mentally. I had my doubts when we drafted him but I am feeling pretty good about his chances.

He's going to get a lot of burn this season, despite being a rook, and it's only going to make him better as he develops his confidence. I think the chances are good that he's starter by year end.
dosentlook like were riskinga great deal .. our backfield is seemably reverting to its blown coverage ways. Taylor all the way baybee
Mays will play special teams and grow into that role. He'll be worked in slowly to certain def. packages. Hopefully, he'll earn the coaches trust at safety.

+1 The odds that Lewis stays healthy the whole season especially when we may actually go post season are pretty low. I love seeing our new guys play even when they make mistakes sometimes.
special teams stand out!
banana bread.
