I think he means we would host the Wildcard game.

I'm really curious, what have the Panthers done to prove they can beat us? They have a solid running game but their QB is unproven and they don't have Peppers anymore.

Seahawks beat us last year. Enough said.

that was last year, enough said.
Thank You Mr. Goodell,....may we have another?!

49er's definitely got some national exposure concessions for accepting the London "home" game vs. Denver, but the league did us no favors with the first 5-6 weeks. Saints on MNF at home and the Eagles (even w/o McNabb) are rough starters, to go with 3 of our first 4 on the road. Atlanta on the road is nauseating as well. Don't like our short week opponents either. And no one is excited about traveling to Green Bay in early December. And who wants to be in St. Louis for X-mas? Feel bad for the players.

But I agree with you all that the second half of the season lays out much better (barring injuries, arrests, firings, acts of God, etc) for us. I think that the NFL is talking with the NCAA to possibly meld the NFC West into the Pac 10. Weak division this year, so the moment is ripe for the 49er's to take advantage (10-6).

I understand the any given sunday deal but like I said they have a solid running game but Steve Smith says he doesn't want to be the #1 receiver and no Peppers, the QB is unproven, Coach is on the hot seat, their pick was only 4 picks after ours in the draft and we had a disaster of an offense last year. Plus they haven't really added anyone to all of a sudden make them a contender and they may be hard to do given we have their #1 draft pick.
1. @ Seahawks-W-We win on last minute drive by Smith throwing a td to VD
2. Vs. Saints-W-We show up on both sides of the ball and shock the world.
3. @ Chiefs-W-Romp-They embarased us last time and we do it to them this time.
4. @ Falcons-W-OT
5. Vs. Eagles-W-Romp and at the end throw all our trash at the Philly fans. Paybacks a b***h!
6. Vs. Raiders-w-Romp-We just overmatch them in every aspect of the game.
7. @ Panthers-w-Nedney kicks us to victory
8. Vs. Broncos-L-I will blame jetlag
9. Bye
10. Vs. Rams-W-Romp-for obvious reasons
11. Vs. Bucs-W-We pick Freeman off 4 times.
12. @ Cardinals-W-We got their number but it's close. Gore gets 150+ in this game(At this point we take the division)
13. @ Packers-L-Bad Weather
14. Vs. Seahawks-W-Romp-At this point were pretty much hitting our stride.
15.@ Chargers-L-Rivers f**ks us up with a last min drive.
16. @ Rams-L-We sit most of the starters
17. Vs. Cardinals-L-We sit most of the starters

We get a wildcard homegame and play our asses off but lose it at the end due to inexpierence in the postseason.
At the end of all this we will know what can do and just take off after that.
11-5 or 12-4 mark it down.
4 primetime games!? yee

Welcome to the 'elite' side of the NFL, when you prove yourself to be a semi-elite team the NFL will treat you like one. The road gets tougher, and the reward will be the vast showing of how much the players express their hunger to be champions.

I'm glad we got the most legitimate schedule, cause when we win the division we'll be one of the better teams in the NFC (because of it) during the playoffs.
