Im young, skinny, and have no skill, but at least Im not a trouble maker.

I would suggest throwing a few protein shakes into your diet.

anyway -- yea I hope this kid will be a pleasant surprise, but I'm not counting on it. He didn't crack the squad last year for a reason and unless he somehow tripled his skill, then he probably will be PS again.

Well he's John Brodie so he should be a veteran

When I was 16 I had the same stats and I could eat anything and everything and not gain any weight. I still played DE at a small H.S. on the JV squad. Nothing but muscle and attitude.
And at 61 forgetfull. Maybe it's attitude that keeps guys like Boone from making it.

Hopefully our new o-line coach is better at developing talent - anyone know his history on that?? I can't help but think of Harvey Dahl. We had him on the practice squad 2 years as a tackle. Atlanta snatches him and the next season he is a starting guard, and by this season he is a well reguarded guard that got a restricted FA tender equalling a 1st rounder. Why the heck didn't we convert him to guard and develop him?? God knows we needed a guard.

That is on the coaching.

Maybe we can do a better job with Boone -- for that matter, maybe we can do a better job getting production out of Baas, Rachal and Snyder under new o-line coaching. Lets hope to God we do.
He definitely has the specs. it would be a big boost for the team if he steps up this year

Part of the reason may be he had to wait untill Ohio St to complete their graduation before he could partisapate in off seaseon work outs. Some kind of league rule. Lost out on a little training camp.

Agree. I hope Solari & Brown can do some work & take these o-lineman to another level of play.
