Not having to learn a new system by having the same offence for two off seasons in a row for the first time in his pro career is something different. Do know how much he'll improve by having that though???

how about, i heard it will be his first season with same oc, and basically half a seasons offense being the same going into camp. steve young said it best, hes a spread qb, put him in a spread. too bad he said that when alex got drafted, no one listened. And knowing hes got crabtree and davis to help him, i wouldn't be completly shocked.

No new system, same OC, way better weapons than before

I agree that having the same system and same OC should help. If anything, his mind can be on how to improve or fine-tune the plays, rather than learn a new system.

But how much weight can you put on that and how much has to do with instincts, physical ability, pocket presence, etc? For example... Do you think Payton Manning, the best NFL QB right now, would go from being the best to top 15 if he were to go to a different system and new OC this year?? I highly doubt it.

Also, what "way better weapons"?? I dont see our offense changing much from last year except the O-line and possibly a change of pace RB. Same 4 receivers, TEs, RBs etc.

Don't buy too much into them switching their offensive philosophy and become a spread offense. Singletary and Raye will make tweaks to their gameplan, but not much as we saw at the end of last year.

Also, he had Crabtree and Davis last year didn't he?

NFL Professionalism 101 is talking up your team mates. Everybody knows that. This means you will never know the truth. He may really believe that, or he may just be being career minded. You will never know.

Now, on the disses. Those are always the truth. Because the athlete just lost control for a moment and let out what they really feel.

Bottomline.

Vernon may or may not think much of Alex Smith the QB
Patrick Willis definitely does not think much of Carr
Urlacher definitely thinks Cutler is a p***y

Because this offseason hes assured the starting job, VD matured and is the best TE in the league, he also has Crabtree who will probably reach more than 1000 yards next season, and finally has the same coordinator for more than a year and Mike Nolans not his coach anymore.

I meant better weapons from years past and plus now having a full offseason with Crabtree.

I dont think Alex is gonna become a top 5 QB this year but I think he is gonna be very good for us.

Lol Peyton Manning doesnt need a OC, he basically is the OC, he calls the plays, he calls the audibles, its basically all him it probably wont affect him at all if their OC leaves.
