ditto.. you have to think if we upgrade the oline alone, and not to mention we will add a legit KR/PR either FA or via through the draft.. Those 6 games we lost by 7points or less will not happen this coming season. AND like you said, we have continuity for the first time with the offensive scheme in awhile, and you add in Vernon Davis who comes in as arguably the BEST TE, and you give an offseason to A.Smith to work with Crabs, Morgan and the gang. Whats not to like?? I see 10-6 ATLEAST!

We've had a bad O-Line since 2002. What makes you think they'll address it this year?

2 First Round Picks buddy!!

49ers have been sleepers since they went 7-9 under Nolan

hi hater

The 49ers used to be a "Superbowl or bust" team, and many of us used to be "Superbowl or bust" fans. It wasn't good enough just to make the playoffs or even win the division. It wasn't good enough to lose to Green Bay in the NFC Championship (or anyone else, for that matter). The 49ers are 5-0 in the Superbowl, the only team that can say that. Let's just say that we were taught to expect greatness. For us to have been missing the playoffs since 2002, yeah, many of us are in a position where we want to see it before we believe it.

And bringing in Mike Solari and Ray Brown is already a huge step in the right direction . . . and hopefully we retain Pashos. I'll be pretty disappointed if the O-Line isn't the most improved unit on the team this season.

because when they go to willis, gore, and davis for contract extensions they'll be like...no thanks, you didn't really do your best to upgrade the team, you just put it on our shoulders and expected us to do miracles, so we're all going to the cowboys....
As of right now you gotta think the niners have a great chance of maybe 10-6 next year. I find it amazing that they managed 8-8 with so much adversity as well as handling the division well. They played the colts and vikings very well and could have easily won both of those. Rookie head coach. Midseason QB change. #1 WR holdout. No RT worth a damn. No punt return game. You gotta figure that (assuming we get that RT and punt returner in the draft) those things not affecting the 2010 niners will translate to a 2-3 game difference. I personally feel very good about the 2010 niners, better than I have about the team in a long time.
