In My Opinion, I Feel Like the 49ers Need...

The players that helped Indi were A. Collie and P. Garcon. Collie got open and has great hands. Garcon is speedy and has great hands. In addition P. Manning spent a lot of time with them in the offseason to get them up to speed. In addtion the oline held up masterfully with no #1 draft picks in it. But I agree that a speedy back, wr would certainly help the Niners. I like Gilyard for our pick or Spiller.

YEah the Niners need a playmaker with speed. Spiller would be a great addition as would Best but if we decide to go elsewhere with the first rounders Joe McKnight would be available later as well as a couple of other guys that could fill the kr/pr role as well as bring speed to the offense in the later rounds too.

We could have drafted Harvin. Some people believe whatever Mel Kiper says. Oh he's injury prone. Oh, he's too light to take the punishment. Blah, blah, blah. He looks pretty good to me. Crabtree can only dream of having that kind of speed. Maybe it's those hideous black shoes they wear. Even our brilliant coaches say we need a game changer. Really? Did they just figure that out? If that was Nolan, you guys would be all over him. Since it's Singletary, people let it slide. I don't care if you're black, white, green or mauve. If they screw up they should be accountable. Every year it's the same thing. We should have picked this guy, not that guy. With two first rounders, they better not mess up.

Yeah, hopefully he falls unto our laps like M. Crabtree. I'm sick and tired of all these other teams picking up alot of talent with speed. That we ourselves never take advantage of the same oppurtunities and chance set for us at building with those same type of speedy players. It always looks like the NFC East, NFC North, and NFC South get all the speedy players. C'MON MAN !!!

no harvin was a 1sgt round pick. and i will tak e cravtree over harvin/

The most important thing that these two teams have in common is that they each have a solid offensive line, and they both have good QB's. One thing impacts the other...

More so than speed, both teams are stout at every position on the O Line. Minnesota's D-Line is probably the best of this decade, and their impacted was extremely limited by the Saints OL.

Harvin and Bush were less a factor than any of the individual linemen.

The first thing that all 4 of the playoff teams has in common is that they are 4 of the best offensive lines in football.

Absolutely need speed. However, our primary need is a quality OLine.

Yes we need speed and at the WR position. Jordan Shipley and Golden Tate could give us that and push Morgan for his job. Competition brings out the best in everyone.

We could use speed in the backfield too but history shows that it is easier to find WR's that produce at a consistent high level in the early rounds whereas you can find good RB's with speed and return skills in the middle rounds (Brian Westbrrok, Leon Washington and Darren Sproles were all mid rounders).
