Here we are nearing the end of the preseason and our offensive line is looking the best it has since the Mariucci era, and all the comments seem to be about Iupati, Davis and Baas.

But I say, what about Solari?

I remember Bill Parcells saying about Warhop something to the effect that he seemed to have it together but somehow i never transmitted onto the field. That's how I always felt, and Foerster didn't seem to be an upgrade.

But now there seem to be fewer penalties, and improvements game by game. Is this all the talent of our two new guys, or are they also being put into a better position to succeed than previous linemen?

Don't forget about Assistant O-line Coach Ray Brown. We're talking about a former 20 year NFL veteran here!

I think it is a combination of both coaches on the o-line. They have both done a tremendous job with ours guys & will be having them playing very well by mid-season.
I thought this guy was going to improve the O line play instead the line got worse

so much for being a well respect position coach

YOU SUCK SOLARI!!!!!
It's interesting to see coaches and players leave this incompetent franchise and thrive elsewhere...
Didn't Seattle have a horrible OLine when Solari was there?
I think part of the oline issues are scheme and stubbornness. The players on other teams know what we are running, we offer no help to rookie RT. QB 's have been inconsistent, playcalling has been sketchy. We could easily be 7-3 with this bad of an o-line. They can get better.

The coaching moves made by Sing is very telling to the fact that he is focused on addressing the teams most glaring need = offensive line...so just based on his actions since appt'd the head coach job...that he is a man of action, adaptable, flexible, demanding, intelligent and intuitive to his job, staff and players....and that's a good thing for the 49er nation.

I would say that Sing is neither intelligent or intuitive. I'll give you adaptive. Especially, when nobody wants to join your staff. Especially, when it's so obvious that your preconceived, moronic notions about your team aren't even remotely true.... Hey, it only took the entire press corps to tell the caveman that his offensive philosophy was not only out of date, but offensive to even Webzone posters of average intelligence.... if you think this dude is good for Niner nation, we have clearly reached rock bottom.... Screw it, let's celebrate being losers with Captain Caveeeeeeeeeeeeeemannnnnnn!!!!

I dont know what your deal is man, but Sign gets mad respect from other team's fan bases. A lot of us like his passion and drive. I would wager to say that there are many fans out there that would love to replace their coach with sing. I thought about that many times as I sat through Mora's press conferences last year. He is only going to get better. With the impending Warner press conference you should be one fan base, under Sign, with hopes and aspirations for all.

lol @ the naive Sing optimism in here.

I'm holding off grading Solari, but if I had to give a to date grade it would be a C. Our Line has their moments and I think that Baas is pretty solid considering he was less than average at the Guard position. Our Rookies play like Rookies. Especially next to inexperienced Veterans. The one thing that I really disliked about Nolan was his inability to commit to the youth movement that he preached about so much. What's the point of carrying OLinemen on the roster that you never use. That put us behind the curve and it led to injuries.

Anyone complaining about Solari, just doesn't understand the intricacies of an Offensive Line.
