Solari is entering a good situation. he inherits an OL thats bad, but has 3 top 40 draft picks, and a C thats already good. he also has a RB that will make the line look even better than it really is.

all he has to do is improve the line more than it was in 09, which isnt hard to do. we were awful last year.
Good luck to you guys and to Solari. He was a good coach in Seattle but did not have a whole lot to work with talent wise on our O-line. Maybe this thing will pan out better for you than it did for us.

thanks man

Pretty sad that a Seahawks fan can come on the Zone and carry himself with more class than a lot of our own.

I'd be interested to hear your opinion on Pete Carroll.

Yeah, it's always a pleasure to have Hawksfan81 around our Seahawks 'gameday' threads, he's very classy and easy to get along with.

In fact since this hiring we've been getting a lot of kudos from Hawks fans. -Some even wishing Solari stuck around for the Carroll regime (even though they acquired Gibbs).

-It's been refreshing on many levels cause Seattle has held a 'sheen' over this decade (in the NFC West) in quality coaching. -Not to mention that when you usually hear a guy leave a team, a negative rapport follows from its fans, which plays a huge foreshadowing element of things to come.

hey ya if u see this what do u think of the firing of Jim mora he wasn't even given a chance IMO
I don't think what happened was fair to Mora and the way the Hawks went about it was shady. They didn't fire the guy on black monday and even allowed him to give a team press conference later in the week while the CEO was talking with Carroll. The whole situation should have been handled better.

That said, I am not disappointed Mora is gone. As the season went on I liked him less and less. His press conferences were annoying as was his post game show he did each week. It was also obvious that the team gave up on him. We got blown out more this year than in any other year. Even though we had a worse record the year before we were more competative. Even with all the o-lineman on the IR by the end of the season and signing recievers off the street while Matt sat the bench with injuries. Mora was not good for the Seahawks.

As far as Pete Carroll goes, I have no idea what to think. He was 33-31 as a pro head coach. All the players that played for him in the pros that I have heard inerviews with thought he was an excellent coach. Drew Bledsoe even said that reason the Pats got worse each year with Carroll was because of the organization not utilizing the draft properly and spending too much money in Free Agency.

All I can do is hope the guy is better this time around and throw my support behind him. Ten years is a long time to be out of the NFL so he isn't going to be the same coach that he was back then. Hopefully thats a good thing for the Seahawks.

Good insight about Mora.

As an SC fan I can assure you of this. In 10 years the Man has not matured at all. He is more of a Boys Man than a Mans Man if that makes any sense
