I want April
I want April too but I am sure this team will find some way not to get him. This team frustrates me sometimes. Fingers are crossed though.

I want Macduff
does nobody else find it weird that were interviewing a guy we fired just 4 years ago from the same position, and that hes been out of an NFL job for 2 years in college and the UFL?

This is the Niners Man....We hired a defensive minded coach with zero experience after firing a defensive minded coach who had zero experience without interviewing anyone else.

Are you really that surprised??

we hired a defensive minded coach who turned our D into a top 5 rush defense with top 5 overall in the NFL potential. fans want it both apparently. if we hired an offensive minded coach, the D would suck, and everyone would be like "defense wins championships! we cant stop anybody. our coach only knows offense, why did they make this hire."

while i dont agree with alot this front office does, you cant fault them for hiring Sing. the players love him, and will put everything on the line for him. he fired up a young and immature team that had almost entirely stopped listening to the staff.

he wasnt fired, he went to be DC at texas. geez, people can't leave their jobs? They have to be fired?

"Special teams interview: According to several reports, the 49ers interviewed former special teams coordinator Larry Mac Duff. He would fit in nicely with Singletary and he was effective in his prior stint in San Francisco (2003-6). Mac Duff and Singletary coached together on Mike Nolan's staff in 2006. Mac Duff left the team in 2007 to become the co-defensive coordinator at the University of Texas, but he left after one season because of philosophical differences with Mack Brown."

Yeah Bobby April should be the man, but Mac Duff atleast is better than the other guys out there. Ugh though we should definitely atleast ATTEMPT to get Bobby April.

The 49ers did not fired him. He left the team to become the co-defensive coordinator under Mack Brown at Texas. If I remember correctly, he did a very good job when he was a special team cordinator of the 49ers.
