I think the better question is, "Could Rachal start for more than half of the teams in the NFL?"

And the answer would be...No.

So, how would anyone think he is Pro-Bowl material?

Ask Vernon

I could not believe it when Vernon said that last night. Does Vernon watch any film LOL

My god this guy sucks really bad....We need 2 Guards and a R-Tackle to even talk about the playoffs.

I guarantee you he watches more film than you lol.

At a certain time you have to bring coaching into the equation. those two guards and rt were two high second rounders and a 3rd rounder.
How can a kid that we draft out of the DL and OL line mill AKA as USC, who is famous for his pancake blocks,(some of which i saw), come here, and have flashes of brilliance late last yr, then go into the dumpster this yr? simple answer: crap for coaching. Our OL coach should never have been retained for 09, yet he was. He helped destroy this OL . Worse, our HC with his underabundance of any knowledge re: the O didn't know what was going on. Can you even imagine that happening on a bellichek team or a Sean payton team? NO, i can't either. So put the reverse progress on chilo's development squarely where it belongs. On a guy who has ruined our OL and any development for way too long now.

Can Chilo go to the pro bowl this yr? not with Foerster still here. This does bring up a very good point. Last game has been played, and we should already have Foerster resignation. We don't to my knowledge. That is a bad sign. Bigmike should can him immediately and bring in a grown up who knows OL, has been successful at all his stops(unlike forester who hasn't), and let's get on with getting our OL coached properly. One more day of Foerster around is a day when bigmike doesn't realize how bad the guy's product has been.

If every other guard in the NFC mysteriously disappear off the face of the planet.

I would love it if that happened, but I saw nothing this season that leads me to believe he has a better chance of making the Pro Bowl than I do.

You mean aside from the fact that he's on an NFL roster and you're not . . .
First step: Not sucking
Second step: Playing good
Third step: Playing really good every single down
Fourth step: Getting Pro Bowl votes

I think he is still working on step one.

About that third step, not even Pro Bowlers play really good every single down. That is the very definition of unrealistic expectations, he's human, they all are, and they all make mistakes occasionally.
Not a chance. Could do better, but Pro-Bowl level, absolutely not.
I`d like to think so but I dont think so!

F that noise. I don't want any losers that make mistakes in my Pro Bowl.
I think he could also has pro bowl potential.

has plenty of upside but next season is too unrelistic i think with better coaching and maybe a better RT would make him look better though
I wouldn't place any bets on that...he could surprise, he's still pretty young. He really could've benefitted from playing his senior season at USC. Understand why he didn't, but he was pretty raw. Whatever he does, I still believe we need to draft a top OG...Iupati's a gem, and for a guy 6-5, 330 he can really move. Besides his problems pass blocking, another criticism I have of Rachal is he hasn't shown the ability to pull or lead screens. I think we need more mobility from our two OG positions...Rachal and Baas are basically maulers, and we need more capability from them.
