I get it, 6-8 because he will be fired with 2 games to go
Cody Pickett should be available now that the CFL season is over.

Up his trade value.................. I hope
cause there is nobody better, thats the only reason.
Because he will be starting for us next year.
My father who works in sponsorships had a meeting with a very high ranking 49er official about mid-season (and no I wont name either person to endanger a deal), but they made a few things very clear:

1: They believe Crabtree is the next HOF WR for the Niners.
2. Smith is the QB of the future. It's his work ethic and love who he is as a person.
3. Love the direction Singletary is taking the team.

Believe me or not I don't much care, but I'm hoping they at least consider other options at QB. And as a side note: I did not make my own post with information when my Dad told me because I will not name any names.

I totally believe you. Because the High Officials of the 49ers are usually dead wrong. So that seems about right to me

and I like Crabtree, but his talents will get wasted here just like Gore's. Willis and Crabtree will probably be looking for an exit if they can.
We've had 7+ seasons of constant change in players, schemes, coaches, philosophies, etc. Why not try ONE season where we have the same coaches, players (sans o-line), and establish and ACTUAL idenity and see where that takes us..?

How will that lead us to being worse off?

Why would we want to scrap Smith, Sing, and Raye? Who do you suggest to bring in? Pennington? Boller??? Tebow? Bradford? NONE of those guys are going to succeed here. Until we fix the o-line and allow our QB and receivers to get timing, trust, and chemistry down...we are NOT going to win.

Declare Smith the starter barring a total meltdown in the next two games. Go into 2010, establish ourselves, 100% reps with the first team, learn each others tendencies, and BECOME GOOD.

Thats what good teams do.

U are crazy my friend, Willis wont go anywhere. He will want to be with Singletary.

Bank on it.

Same with Crabs, If he plays like a good NFL receiver and especially if he`s one of the best n the game. These guys wont even see Free Agency, The niners will lock them up long term.
Because he's the starting QB and probably will be for the first 3-5 games next year.As a Smith supporter I will say this,I don't expect Smith to be the starter for long if he has a couple more games like Philly-just terrible like the rest of the team except for Gore/Willis.

I'm looking for Nate.D to get a shot early in the 2010 season if Alex takes a couple more steps back.I would have no problem with this move, not only do I like Davis but I want the 49ers to win period.

you know for a former player and current hall of famer mike singletary has shown me numerous times this season how not to coach or call a football game.first off wasted time outs.cost us a game or two.does he not know that you need those cause they could determine the game.run first mentality from the start of the year.stubborness to change to the gun when it is plain as day that is what were set up to do.i want a head coach who is not a charity and will not feed his team false hope.at the beggining of the season he and jed york said that we will make the playoffs.we are a playoff team.yet yesterday he says we cant spot people points in games cause we are not good enough to over come a deficiet.make up your mind.reality is that the teams we lost to were just better team on that day.not cause we beat are selfs.save your lies for for some one else please.please management can you please fire MIKE SINGLETARY

Great info. I really hope with a full offseason this offense will become much better next season in all phases of the offense.

Hey Genius...do you know why he had to waste that timeout on the first play???

Because NFL referees are required to allow the defense proper time to make personnel adjustments to matchup with the offense. This was not done twice in that game. That is why Singletary was so upset with the officials to begin with. Not for missed calls or bad calls, but for ignoring the obvious rules of preplay substitutions.

Maybe you should learn the NFL game before you critique a coach for how he handles it.
