From what I have read about Patrick he's too light and doesn't have starter level ability. We need somebody who can help not just another warm body to fill a jersey and make things easy for he other team.

Not a bad pickup. Youth is the only thing working against the man. They grow em' big in Nebraska. He's got the size and tools. He just needs some seasoning.
He'll get it in San Francisco.
Solid pickup IMO.
He's listed at 6'4" 280lbs. That's tiny by NFL standards.
This leads me to believe that he's coming aboard solely to help in pass protection. Interesting
Yeah i agree with you on that one, because when looking up his positives and negatives, he's stronger in pass protection, rather then run blocking.

Because he's way too raw. We SHOULD have signed a vet starter. GM should be looking for someone who can start just in case there are any injuries. The way we're set now, even pulling someone from the PS, they won't dress for the game. This is where I'm sorry, but McCloughan isn't dropping the ball, but it's borderline incompetence.
Who are you going to sign? There aren't many "no risk" starting tackles waiting to be signed at week 7 in the season. I'm not sure if Jon Runyan has signed, but he is the only alternative that comes to mind.

Hopefully this will teach management to draft a freakin RT when we don't have any on the roster during the offseason.
Well, if Crabtree hadn't been there at #10, Michael Oher would have been the pick. Which would you prefer?

The missing piece. This was a brilliant move by SM, just like all his draft picks.

Not only a graveyard, but a haunted one at that, with mutilated, limping zombies all over the place.
Wow. What a thought, imagine running for your life from a Jonas Jennings zombie.

I was waiting to see if anyone would suggest this. At this point, why not? Maybe he could instill some nastiness in some of the younger linemen and bring some veteran leadership. This line needs a royal kick in the ass and maybe he could help bring something to the line.
Runyan is ready to go if someone gives him a shot.
