I for one am kinda scared/anxious to see if Scott screws up another draft for us.
Scott has no vision for how he wants to build a team he changes his philosophy every year. Case in point, last year with martz as oc we set up for passing letting smiley walk and picking up issac bruce instead of drafting desean jackson. Scott also believes that mark roman is an adequate nfl player, passing on Kenny phillips for kentawn balmer last year in the first round.

Give him one more season. With continuity maybe this team would've won some of those close games.

The sat part is, Scotty McC actually has been drafting OLINE. He practically built this OLINE less Eric Heitman
-David Bass - early 2nd round
-Chilo - early 2nd round
-Adam Synder - 3rd round
-Staley - 1st round pick
IMHO, these are all high picks or day 1 picks...

First round picks:
1 potential HOF
1 All Pro
1 potential All Pro
2 Solid starters
1 backup
1 up and down QB
Big-Ticket FA:
1 borderline All Pro
2 Solid starter (Lewis & Clements)
1 Bust
I would even say you could throw out the first season simply because 1) they were backed into a corner and forced to draft a QB in a bad draft and then 2) had to very quickly build up an OL to protect him, hence poor FA signings and poor drafting (drafting need always yields poor results though).
That is a pretty good record of drafting and FA pickups.

The need for sounding boards who have deep experience in drafting, free agent acquisition, and day to day managment of people is more clear now than ever.
Singletary is a first year HC, Scot has risen quickly with minimal experience, and...Jed? That's it for the brain trust? I can't fault Scot as he has been pretty effective, but he will never live down the "we can find OGs anywhere" comment.
I think that this is real problem. There is no managerial experience in the FO and it shows. There is no clear direction and the talent is disparate.

How did you get all this HOF stuff, if so, why are we losing year after year?

The more games I watch, the more I see his shortcomings on the field. Especially when compared to a team like Philly.
Say he's fired - who is hired to take his place?

Some of you focus on the good players Scotty has drafted. But I say focus on the players whose mistakes over and over add up to us losing. And what do we have? A losing team. Walsh made sure he had a team of smart players who played smart, error-free football. How many of this year's games would we have won if we could have eliminated just 50% of the dropped passes, tipped balls, fumbles, blown coverages, and stupid, drive-killing penalties?
Most of them?
Blame the Yorks too. They have about $50M of cap room sitting on the sidelines that should be out there making game winning plays. But I am not sure McC is the one who should be deciding how to spend it on OL or WRs. List the FA OL and WRs he has brought in here. Pretty dismal track record.

Problem with the makeup of the org is the gm and the head coach are in bed together far too often. Scotty doesn't have the balls to go against the grain. He overruled Sing when Sing/Nolan didn't believe Willis was the guy. That's great when its an obvious pick, but what about those that aren't that obvious??? Just take a look at this past draft.....1 starter (Crabtree) and a bunch of guys that will be situational/good back ups. Case in point....McKillop. Ulbrich goes down and its Wilhelm who takes his place.
