Not playing prevent opens up space for a huge play.

Instead we got screwed by luck.

um no you play prevent the last play, they were in there own side of the field and when were playing prevent and they roll on us.

Virtually No one goes 16-0...We lost an away game outside of the nfc west w/out possible our best player..If I had to choose which of the 1st 3 games I'd want to lose this would be it. V.D showed that he can be trusted with the ball & Hill was impressive despite the bad start. Like all of you,I'm sick to my stomach but we lost b/c of bad luck..If dre bly held on to that pick we're not talking about any of this...The vikes got the win, but inside they can't be very pleased. They did nothing in the 2nd half except for a kick return td & a hail mary. I don't agree with the 3 runs up the middle though. I knew when it was happening that it would cost us..The good news is so far the media seems to be more impressed with the lions winning so maybe the hail mary won't be the only highlight we see all week. but I'm sure it will be replayed on the nfl network all week so I'll be avoiding that channel this week....!!!!! The 9ers have played much better than expected after the preseason and the season is still young, so I'm still very encouraged.

We played with heart out there today. We gave the Vikings everything they could handle and lost on a play that could have gone either way. I'm abolutely crushed right now, but very proud of how our team played. I can remember two penalties of 15 yards each that extended drives and gave the Vikes points. (taunting penalty, and low blow to the quarterback) without those two calls, we probably win.

I kind of wanted them to pass on that 3rd down play too but I can understand why they didn't. The viking did not have a productive drive in the second half before that hail mary. Their only points came off a kick return. So if you had a choice between a 3rd down 6 yard pass or our defense keeping them out of the endzone with no timeouts with about 1:30 on the clock; I think I would still take our defense.

If we pass and its incomplete it gives them even more time to score. Run was the right call. Prevent was the wrong defense to run.

The only other positive I can take out of this is if Seattle and Arizona lose today. It won't sting AS MUCH if we stay ahead of them by a game in the division.

We should have won this game hands down but instead playing not to lose - just like Nowin would have got us killed - One hopes they get it through their heads this is not going to work....
