Leave it to a select few in the Zone to whine and b**ch after a win.
Sure we have some things to work on but who doesn't? Fire Raye? C'mon seriously. We went in to a tough place to win and guess what? We won. Quit being such f**king buzzkills.

Our offense was terrible, we had 2 good drives that is it. Really
Lucky too win the game. Hill stares down receivers too much will cost us in the future when we play real good teams.
Again I'm shocked we won because as poor as we played but still happy of the result.
P.S. Sign Crabtree already!

How could you do that with Morgan, Davis and crabtree in the game. Davis is eating up Line backers and morgan looks good. but you can give help over morgan when you are not afraid of Bruce going deep anymore.
You just noticed teams stack the box against us? Have you been hiding under a rock the last 3 years?

I think we have to get over our love for pleasing frank gore and just play football. Constantly handing him the ball almost lost us this game. But overall am happy for the win.

WE must do something about this, first test of the season for coach sing.
I disagree...we were trying to establish the run. The problem is the Cards knew we were gonna run the ball 60% of the time so they put 8 guys in the box...plus there D-line is far better than our O-line...raye wasn't trying to lose...we ran a lot but on 3rd down when we needed the 1st we passed the ball and got the 1st down
The 49ers definatley got some work to do before next week but I think we will be able to run the ball alot better against seattle
And why are you mad??? We won the game...
i could have sworn that we passed the ball much more than ran. People we have to continue trying to run the ball. it keeps the D honest. plus they really couldnt stop the pass.

not impressed with the play calling or the Oline play. hopefully the team will show some progress sooner rather than later

Oline and playcalling go hand it hand. If the o-line played better and gore had 100yrds rushing, nobody would be questioning the play-calling. Better o-line play = less questioning of the playcalling.

Snyder/Baas were the main reasons our running game sucked and Hill was under as much pressure as he was all game long. I say we stick with this lineup 1 more game and if these 2 suck as much as they did today we replace them with Wraage and Pashos. Either way we really need to address the OL next off season.

Wow this post blew up with complainers vs the Defensive analysis thread.
First lets talk about the positives. The main thing was we limited our turnovers. We only had that freaky one where it popped out of Hills hand. Gore almost had a costly fumble but it was covered up. We also had three sacks. That might need to be cut down but it is an improvement from Martz' silly 7 step fiascoes. Also we only had 4 penalties. Arizona on the other hand had 12! We were way more disaplined. All you whiners talking about how Jimmy Raye should be fired need to give him credit for cutting all the BS holding, false starts, illegal procedures and all that other fundamental crap we were doing wrong. THat crap killed us last year. No interceptions either. Some of his play calling resulted in wide open looks that Hill hit. That game winning TD was a nice call as well as that deep go to Bruce. Things like penalites, sacks, and turnovers kill your game. A Nolan/Martz coached team lose this came.
The negatives. Mostly the running game was horrid. It was obvious that the Tards line was dropping down and hog tying Gore. Raye needs to adjust by running tosses and sweeps. Also the offensive line was getting driven back. What happened to all that hill running? The defensive line used that extra juice. The offensive line looked bad in the running game. The pas protection was decent. Noting really to brag about. The WR's played the same way ive seen them ply forever. No one really stands out. Morgan was open a few times but Hill couldn't get him the ball. I'll give Hill ome credit for making some throws. However, he can't hit certain throws that a NFL QB should make. His balls just flutter. An object lands with the same force it was launched at. You can see Hills balls flutter cause the didn't get thrown with enough velocity.
Overall I say we playerd very solid. We cut the turnovers, penalites and looked prepared as opposed to coach suites team.

Wragge is not an improvement over Baas. Wragge played a snap at RG on our last offensive drive and he nearly got Gore hit in the endzone for a safety.

What I liked, was PLAY ACTION!!
That is what you can do when you show that you are committed to the run and there are 8 defenders in the box.

With the exception of the 1 drive, the playcalling was horrible. It was obvious AZ was commited to stopping Gore, but we did little to adjust to their D.
Forget this run at all cost offense, we should be flexible. Hill isn't that bad of a QB when dinking and dunking his way down the field. He looked pretty good on that 15 play, 80yd drive that took up over 7 mins. The offense ACTUALLY moved the ball when they weren't FORCING the run. I hope SING/RAYE take notice of that 4th quarter drive and we see more of those in the future.

I beg to differ. Im not so sure we passed as in "haha, we've been running all day on you guys, now we're gonna throw it". It was more of a "oh s**t....we were commited to the run all day an it didnt work. We've gotta score on this drive, so lets change it up a bit". I too would like to believe that this was the masterplan that Raye had figured all game. But the reality is we took a swing, and we missed bad. When the going got tough, Sing and Co. had to pull away from their offensive philosophy and let Hill do the damage.
On a great night like this, where our D kept the Cards off balance, it all seems milk and cookies. But if it were the other way around (as in Warner lighting us up), this team would be in shambles right now, and primarily because Raye called a horrible game.
