well if he doesnt sign, my point about rookie draft picks being required 2 sign before training camp would end all suspense in the future, because as far as i'm concerned, if you aint there day 1 of training camp and you are a rookie because of anything short of illness/injury, you aint gone be on the 53. you need to earn it in camp, not in college. boys play in college, men play in the league

thats all good and all but a rookie pay scale would be better

What are 49ers' options now? Can they sign him n then trade him to a team that assures them that it will trade? I know theres a lot of insecurity in this idea but im just thinking what can be done with crab by not waiting the whole season. If we wait the whole season we might n probably wont get anything for him since that same team will have a chance to draft him or better wrs in the draft.

If our WR struggle today and they stack the box do you guys think 49ers will cave or start negotiating?
What if we or WR kick the s*** out of Arizona what would Crabtree do then? Would he sign knowing that they don't need him to win?
Either way I think we end up signing him and I hope we do cause from pre-season and past seasons our WR have been sh*t. If the 49ers really want to run 60% of the time and be successful then they need a wr to scare other teams from stacking the box. Just by lining up Crabtree, he WILL scare teams from stacking the box all the time. With our WR right now watch Arizona just stack the box the whole game, who are they afraid of? Morgan? Bruce? Battle?!?! Lol. We need Crabtree people! He needs to sign soon.

^^^^ Bruce may be passed his best but I don't think teams are going to disrespect him. Morgan was the disappointment pre season. We'll see

Why are some of you guys suprised about the reaction your reading on a FAN FORUM? We have the luxury of not being rational. We are not involved in negotiations. Nobody that has any impact on the situation is reading this or gives a crap what we think (Not even you guys with a well thought out argument....) Every fan on here is an individual and every individual comes to this sight to express themselves as a FAN. That manifests itself in various ways. For you guys that find pleasure in crunchng cap numbers, breaking down the draft or doing a statistical analysis of the O and D even though you have ZERO IMPACT on the out come, great. By the way, as a FAN I appreciate that. But just because fans like me might not always have a well thought out post or some of our post can contradict each other from week to week doesnt mean we're stupid. It just that we use this forum to express our raw emotion.
Think of it this way, some post as if its their 49er diary, while others post as if they've been asked to write a colum for SI. At the end of the day the Niner organazation needs us both. Thats my unsolicited 2 cents.
While everyone does have the right to their opinion and to express themselves as they please, they still should not be assassinating his character as they would not like their character to be assassinated for the choices they make in life with 200 pages of smut.
Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
Exactly. I just don't understand all the name calling...and what's wrong with being selfish? Any successful person needs to have some degree of selfishness.
THIS IS A f**k'N NFL FORUM, NOT A 1st GRADE CLASS ROOM. Good thing you guys aren't Philly or Brown fans, you would be scared to go to a game.
It's not a 1st grade class room? Reading some of these posts do sound like bunch of 1st graders are posting in this thread. Anyway, I'm glad I'm not a Philly or a Browns fan. There is a reason why they are called classless. Maybe, you will fit right in with them.
Hope I didn't offend you. I did the caps for effect (shouting like a drunk obnoxious fan). I'm a very reserved person in my profession and life in general, but in certain settings such as a football game or fan forum It's game time. Typical rules of society do not apply.
It's all good bro. Not offended. I know lot of ppl are frustrated and angry, and rightfully so. In the end, Niners are playin' today and hopefully our WRs will have a good game and make us all forget about Crabtree.
