For those who complain that it is bad to waste a first round pick, I agree. But we have wasted other first round picks before, and we will do it again in the future sometime.
But, it is better to waste this pick where we have not spent a penny, than to sign this guy, and have to suffer through his next tantrum, after we have spent $17M, or whatever.

He will not contribute early but will definately get playing time around week 3... begin to play well after the bye, and work his way into an extended role and begin to show his worth and potential by the end of the season and quieting his critics. This hold out will be a faint memory as he will have a spectacular playoff performance.. thus establishing his National Stage presence. He will thrive on Sunday & Monday night games played in the future... and will be an integral part of our team for years to come. He will not be a cancer, but a great team player who will block downfield for Gore and Coffee. He will be the first player to run down DB's on interceptions. He will be passionate... and give our team the swagger we need. He will be smoking the same s**t I am.
Fixed.
Naw,
man. Like the optimism bro.

Face it ppl you will never see Crabtree in a niner uniform he's a selfish sonb*tch!!!!!!!!
you dont know that for sure. yea you are probably right but the more i think about the situation logically the more i just dont see how it makes sense for him. holding out just hurts his career, and he will never get a rookie contract worth more than the one we are offering. if he were to hold out on the next team then he would be killing his nfl career so he doesnt have much leverage if he does that, he loses a year of earning power, and it would probably cause him to drop a ton.
Thats where DUM@SS comes in and the "DIVA" logo is right on. The guy thinks he can make more money in next years draft, which I highly doubt. I wonder what he's going to do if Dez Bryant gets picked before him?! Hold out.......again?!
He doesnt want to play and I hope we let him sit out, cuz he not going to give his all to this team.[ Edited by 9erluv415 on Sep 11, 2009 at 15:35:15 ]

It's no more or less plausible than the next theory. Just throwing it out there.
If their intent is to make the NFL implement a rookie salary cap, then yeah they're doing an outstanding job.

If anything positive comes out of this it will be a formal rookie salary cap.
