I realize its a mute point, but... Do you think Michael Crabtree would have signed by now if the 49ers had retained former OC Mike Martz?
It would have taken Shanahan as HC to have him in here already. He's facing a grim reality as a player in this offense. He might as well hold out for as much as he can get. His 2nd contract is going to be brutal on him financially if changes don't get made here.
If he seriously did not want to play here because of our players and personnel, I will laugh hysterically at him.
1. Yankees prove that just because you have extraordinary talent doesn't mean you'll win every year.
2. If he believes he's God's gift to football, then wouldn't his presence make others want to sign with our team to go for a playoff and super bowl run?
I don't understand this whole situation..
business...
difference of opinion.. This whole situation is just frustrating.. How hard is it to sign a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal when you haven't even played one second of pro ball?Pride? Seriously? Lowballing? Please, to me these are all excuses from a greedy @$$ b@$!@rd.. I probably will never even sniff the amount of money he is turning down for so-called "what he deserves".. The plain truth is that these guys were all given a talent to play games as a way of life.. If he doesn't feel he's getting what he deserves then please tell everyone NOW that you ARE sitting out and not just "have the ability to".. Absolutely ridiculous.
Sorry, but my Giants lost tonight to the freakin' Padres and I'm pissed...
