That's the key thing that Sing seems to have changed so far...opponents are now having to work their ass off for what ever they can get instead of getting it for free.
I really like your coachs attitude. I was in the army for seven years and did the iraq thing for 15 months and I can just really relate to players buying into the system and wanting to win and just brining the right type of hardworking attitude. I don't know how your guys felt about what he did to VD last year but I loved it. The fact that he made him go back and pick up his helmet was classic. To me that was a perfect kind of establishing dominance, you better fall in line or your going to have problems type of moment. I gained a lot of respect for him as a coach for the way he handled that. I thought it was very much a sergeant type of thing to do.

And as anybody who has ever been an NCO will tell you, they are the backbone of the army. They get things done. I think in that moment sing established himself as the backbone of the 49ers and I genuinely loved it.

Home season openers are the absolute best! Well except for home playoff games that is. Those games just feel like they fill a void that has been missing. Especially after a year like last year where you had to watch the playoffs from the couch and didn't get to participate in the excitement that is the nfl playoffs. I think each new nfl season brings such excitement and optimism that you can't help but get all jacked up for the home opener. It just feels right to be back in that stadium.

Oh I am ready. I can't wait! I actually got a hold of a guy who I was in charge of in iraq yesterday and he is a big 49ers fan. He is coming over for the game with his family so its going to be that much more fun. I don't usually get the opportunity to watch the games with a fan of the opposing team. That dude is a very witty instigater too so it should be fun.

On a completely out there non football related topic. I am watching the ultimate fighter right now and kimbo slice is on there. Its just crazy to see. I dont expect a respnse whatsoever on this. I just think its going to be fun to watch!

You know what, I think thats the beauty of being a fan. Athletes can't look past next week game but the fans can look all the way to the pro bowl and envision their whole team in it if they want to. I know I am already formulating some thought about the bears. So thinking about the vikings right now is only natural.
