Is Walt Harris' career as a Niner over?

Let him heal up, take a pay cut (not sure how much he's making now) and come back next year for a decent price as a nickel back or to fill in at starter in case our #1 or 2 gets hurt.

Honestly, making like 2M a yr isnt bad for a 3rd CB, look at Spencer, he makes in the 3M range, and he isnt half the player walt is. So id keep him for 1.5-2m he has deserved the pay, he is a solid vet and would be a great 3rd CB.

This is a very good question. I hadn't thought about this before, but realistically he is done. Time for someone to step up, otherwise niners have another hole to fill.

I would say yes

I hope he does come back tho, like as a dimeback.
Next season Harris would be a 36 year old CB coming off ACL surgery. I think he is done.

He played much better than I expected he would.
yeah unfortunately, looks like he is done.

Let's face it though, Walt was getting towards the end of his career even without the injury, so it's not really a hole that didn't already need to be filled at some point in the near future. Bly should by us enough time to develop someone.

You guys do realize he's not under contract for next season? (Unless I'm mistaken)
If anything he will stay in the NFL on a Union job that doesn't include being on the field or signed with a certain organization. If I'm not mistaken he has been his team's union rep for years.

Walt will turn 35 in August. After tearing up his knee, does he even have a chance to come back as a Niner next year? No one wants to end their career like that, so I'd be surprised if he didn't try to make a comeback, but can a 36 year old CB come back from that injury and make the team? Sadly, I think he might be done.

He might come back next year, but unless Dre Bly and Tarell Brown do a horrible job this year, Walt's days as a starter are done for sure.

yep
as a corner i think he is done, if he still wants to play he may be able to play FS for someone since he is still smart in coverage and has good speed. i say safety because many older CB's have made the switch due to losing their speed. thats a pretty big injury tho so in all likelihood i think he's done unfortunately
he might continue his NFL career, but we are gonna go younger at cb, so he's done with us
