Instead of SBLs the season ticket holders would be the hebrews of the construction

I think the plan also is to allow fans to see whatever replays they want on their Smart Phones. The whole idea is to make the Stadium experience better than the home experience.

I actually just started working for the 49ers first stadium partner (Brocade) and I think they were chosen because they offer 100GB Switches (Wow). The Wireless service and gameday applications should be insane.
I have heard a lot of talk from the 49ers about the amazing next generation stadium experience. I am not a techie, so can you give me some exaples of the insane next gen experience I can expect? How can a 100GB Switch affect me?

Just wondering.

Thanks!

I'd PM Marvin49... he must not have seen your question or he would have answered it.

I'm not sure but I am under the impression that the Stick has spots where you can't get a signal and the internet service is bad. I am assuming with this faster internet for all... up to date replays, highlights.... I know when Santa Clara backed out of the 30 million taxpayers promised they said we would rather give it to schools than put little tv's in the back of the stadium seats. It was just a cop out but if they do that with the TV's that would be cool. Kind of a luxury though... not necessary but cool...they probably have a lot of not needed but cool things in the cowboys stadium. Also, they mentioned something about interactive hall of fame. When you are waiting in line you can get info/videos sent to your phone about the history of the 49ers and it's players. With Gideon Yu (big name in yahoo, youtube and facebook... harvard business degree) brought in to help with the tech stuff it should be heck of an advanced venue. Also, not tech stuff but the stadium will have solar panels that not only help give power to the stadium but 24/7 to the power grid for the city. So it will help save on electricity and help power the city. I believe it will be the 1st of it's kind. Back to the internet type stuff... I'm thinking you will be able to do everything with your cellphone... probably hook up to the stadium and order food, etc, etc. Don't quote me on that part though. Here is a brochure that talks about some of the features but it doesn't get into too much detail... a lot of the tech stuff is yet to be seen. P.S. They will have the players (home and away) walk through a bar type area to get to the field like the cowboys stadium so that's awesome.

Ya captnkos...

Sorry, been out of it for a bit.

A 100MB Switch simply means INSANE bandwidth. It means huge amounts of data moving very quickly...IE a cutting edge Multimedia Experience.

To put it in perspective, the industry "standard" at the moment is 1GB Connections. Cisco has faster switches (10GB and so forth) but right now Brocade is the leader with 100GB. That's faster that anything but a Solid State Hard drive could even WRITE data.

Most of the devices that would be brought i could never connect at 100GB but that's not the point. That HUGE amount of bandwidth would mean very fast connections for every single person in the stadium to do things like download replays on your iPhone and so forth.

I heard something about a card you can purchase that serves as everything from your ticket to your credit card at the stadium. you get it scanned at the gate as your ticket, and when you want some food you can just swipe the card at the consession stand and it will withdraw from your debit/credit card, and you can scan it with your smart phone to order food or drinks from your seat during the game.

I could be entirely wrong about this little card but i swear i heard talks about it somewhere on this board.

Disney already does something like that at Disneyworld. Your room key is also used to purchase goods in any of the parks or hotels.

Probably thinking of the thing they already do at Candlestick where you can load your game tickets on your credit card, then just scan your credit card at the gate instead of a ticket.
Can't wait until this is DONE!!!

Will stop by Great America in August and see the Progress!!!
If some of you guys don't mind, would you guys share what seats you had prior, the seats you've been allocated now and how long you've been a season ticket holder? I know a few of you have shared this in the 194 pages, but I can't forage too long on here.

I was UR 25 Row 2 and have been a season ticket holder since '08, they're giving me section 404, row 22 which to me is crazy. That's way up there. I know we can upgrade given the opportunity after August 17th, but I don't think there'll be anything worthwhile available with the same seat license fee.

They have that at the stick? I've never seen that.
