Haaaaaaaaaaa, my old seats that I sat in for 24 years are now $30,000 each for SBL alone, and $375 a seat per game. You who have been at the Stick for a long time, know what they cost me from the start to 2004 when I sold my seats coz I moved overseas.. These people...well I won't say it, but there is going to be lots of empty seats. Like sonoco said; he is going for single game day tix, but even then..unless it's upper or in the endzone they are going to be $235-$450 each...

Kiss my a$$ York's.... This for a seat in a parking lot in Santa Clara.. sad sh!t, not even the views Hunters Point would have offered..

You are lying to yourself if you are saying this stadium is going to have a lot of empty seats. This new stadium will sell out.

I don't think so, and if it does it will be like now; sold out with empty seats

It's OK, my time is over going to live games on a season ticket holder basis, because to me this is gouging to the max. Yes, I do choose not to pay. I think there are probaly thousands of people who are long time 49er fans @ the Stick that will argue your premise that they are not victums of corperate greed. Sure it's the american way for BIG business in the recent last 20 years, but as the years go by the greed goes ahhh beyond good taste, if there ever was any good taste to it.

You can have this ultra greed system, and the cake that goes with it. I for one choose not to agree, or participate as a willing peon to feed the all ready engorged top 8% who control the money. Yes, that would the people who bankrupted the country, then got free loans from the gov, then paid themselves big time raises, then asked for more free money from the very people that they drove into homelessness.. cool...

This seems like a bit of a stretch.

They're looking for ticket buyers who are willing to make a bigger commitment to the stadium. I think you know your situation does not represent the majority of fans (out of state season ticket holders). They can't satisfy everyone.

And they certainly will be able to afford it, with the ticket pricing being discussed. They had the pricing structure in place before they secured the loans, you can believe that. No bank would loan money without that set in stone.

If they were going to stick to a throwback pricing system (like they use now), they likely would not be able to afford a top-tier stadium. In that scenario, in lieu of SBLs, the Niners would charge 4x more per seat. Point is, they'd get that money some how. Better with SBLs than $300 upper level seats. With SBLs they can keep the average ticket price in line with the rest of the NFL.
actually my ticket agent told me the niners have one of the largest out of state ticket groups in the nfl. we shall see how this all plays out. the higher end seats will sell with no problem since they were already sold but i do think they will have some difficulty with the 3500-7000 sbls plus the big jump in price for those seats

I just made my appointment, Im in the first group too. Once you make an appointment they send you the SBL agreement. It doesn't have any prices (I'm assuming that's based on seat location) but it does have the finance plan. It's essentially a 12 year financing plan at 8.5%. You need to pay 10% upfront (like right now), 10% in 2013 and 10% in 2014. Starting in 2015 you can finance for an additional 10 years.

Once I have my appointment and get the prices I'll let you know. If anyone has once before me (27th of Jan) please post. My guess is around 10k per seat in the lower bowl, 5k upper bowl. Premium club seats could be higher.

This sucks. Been a holder for a while (including a lot of bad years) and now this.

How long have you been a season ticket holder? Im just trying to gage when I will have my Appt. I have been a season ticket holder since 2002.
I don't think their timing depends on how long you have been a ticket holder. I think the first appointments will be for any season ticket holder whose predetermined seat falls within the 9000 seat club section. My current seats are in LE 39 and I am a first year ticket holder. I have my appointment next week in Santa Clara. I am guessing that my seats fall into the $20k/$325 range. I have a feeling that most of us will be asking if we can downgrade our seats. Not sure how the Niners are going to deal with that. I guess I will find out on the 16th.

maybe he meant 10,000 for both our seats. Does $5,000 a seat sound better? I think he heard it from his ticket agent.

I'd be pissed, but I would probably do it....The new stadium would be sweet.

I assume that means if I decide to stop buying season tickets I could sell my PSLs to some poor smuck? Can the PSLs go up in value in a secondary market? Anyone know if thats ever happened, like fine art?

This is from the Mercury News link on page 6

Fans will first have a right to a seat in the new stadium that compares to their current tickets, though if they want cheaper seats they can wait for those to go on sale and hope there are some available.
This all seems pre-mature to me. They just got the parking situation fixed and it looks like this whole thing could end up on the ballot again....

PSLs can be resold, and unlike the Raider's facility, these aren't 10 year..they're lifetime. So yes, they could go up..or down in value. I seriously wonder what it does to ticket prices though. 90% of all seats are owned by season ticket holders...and this is going to more than triple that price.

Niners picked a good time to do well...I doubt they could sell many PSLs if we were 8 and 8 this season.
Great America finally agrees to 49ers stadium in Santa Clara, for a big price

Ya, that is my question as well. This isn't a done deal yet. Although since they are starting to sell these things the 49ers have to figure it is all but locked up.

Why do you think they are pushing so hard right now...
Got my packet today. It says "All agreements must be signed within 10 days of your Preview Center presentation."

I wonder if they'll refund your deposit if you change your mind during those ten days.
