Reading that article it says the cheaper seats won't be known until summer. What about people who have their meeting coming up? Are they going to force them to buy the expensive or lose their rights?
The club seats bottom out at 20k. I suspect general seats can be had for around 5. Problem is...what happens if those all sellout prior to my meeting.

My understanding is a seat similar to your current seat is reserved for you - it won't be sold to anyone else before you.

The sj article above said the meeting will be for the area you currently have. And if you want to change to a lesser seat you have to wait till they go on sale if they are any available
So you should be ok

Today my ST cost is $74 per game. Assuming the 3x price increase is correct (referenced in Mercury article) and a $5,000 SBL cost, it looks like this for me over the next decade:
$5,000 / 10 years = $500 per year. 10 home games = $50 per game.
$74 per game x 3 = $232 (now add in the $50 amortized cost of the SBL) = $282 per seat, per game. Yikes. I doubt that I could resell the seats at that price. Oh yeah, add in my airfare, car rental costs, hotel costs, food costs and time off from work. I think this very sadly ends my tradition of going to games in person with my dad, one that is 25 years long. Glad I have DirectTV.

So I have 4 seats on the 20 yard line. According to the article I'll need to shell out 80k just for the privilege of buying 12k for season tix. Thanks for pricing out the fans that supported you for the 3 decades.
I'm off to go cry.

So with these SBL's...
Would it come with a price lock for these 10 years of financing (No ticket increase in the years prior) ?
Cause if the prices increase 2-3 years after we shelled out the cash then this really blows

You can get a seat @ the 50 yrd line to every game on your HDTV. Cheaper and better.

I have four and usually take 2 or 3 friends with me for free. No more of that. Time to pay up if you want to roll to a game in the new place. Might have to drop down to 2 tickets.
