Personally speaking, Frank Gore is my favorite player to join the Niners since Jerry Rice. Sure I've liked other players since Jerry, but Gore is something else. Perhaps it was because he was our first skill position (or any position) pro-bowl player to come through since 2002. Maybe it's that the guy gives 200% on the field every time he's there. Maybe it's because he owned the league in 2006. Maybe it's because he's always striving to get better. Or maybe it's because he's been to hell and back (2 reconstructive knee surgeries before his pro career and the loss of his mother during it) and still keeps fighting. Look, I'm aware that P. Willis is an amazing talent and is considered the best player on our team bar-none. He, like Gore, has faced tremendous adversity and has since fought through it to become the best ILB in the game. I don't deny that and I'm a huge fan of Willis. But Gore was the first player in years to come along and give Niner fans something to cheer about. Who can forget runs like that one against DET in 06 or the one against STL in 07 (lost in the crowd on 3rd and waay long, only to emerge unscathed and sprinting towards pay dirt). Bottomline, this guy came in during our darkest time and hasn't complained one bit. He's what makes our offense tick and humbly performs year in and year out; playing through injuries and all. This thread is nothing more than a tribute to Frank Gore. A truly admirable player who gives it his all year in and year out; through all the coaching changes, adversity and losing seasons. Here's to hoping that an improved passing game and complementary r-back gives Frank the help he so richly deserves to be the deadly player he is. #21

For every pass he drops, he catches and makes significant ground on 5 other catches.

When Nolan was coach, I remember Gore often being our leading receiver, so he is capable.

I like the idea of Gore getting 25 touches or targets a game. 20 would be more to my liking, but regardless, Gore would get his fair share. Last year, I complained about us running too often on first down. They've seemingly changed that philosophy, but I do think a short pass on first down to Gore would give Kap an easy completion and leaves 2nd down wide open because it would presumably be 2nd and 5 or less.

his pass catch on fourth down playing with a busted finger vs the seahawks in the playoff game was huge

injuries and greg roman put a stop to that.

Gore blocks, catches and runs ... He has been the best COMPLETE back... CONSISTENTLY then any other... that is why I own his jersy... I cant afford much but money well spent. Next its ether J. Smith or Willis. Hard to choice

Frank Gore needs a "Rudy" movie... I have read to many articles about this dude in and out of our winning and nonwinning seasons ... and basted apone his successful story since college... make a movie. What he has over comed most people (including NFL players) would have given up. Make a movie... lol but really...make a movie

I've been on a Mini-Boycott, of All that is The NFL in 2014 ...
however, I've learned to listen to intuition, and follow what
the little voice ;D tells me what, or what not to do in life.

So I navigated to NFL.com, clicked on the Game Pass App,
and within minutes started questioning why I did. As I was
about to click-out, and get back to more important matters,
they went to commercial break, with a Tease of an upcoming
Frank Gore segment. Interest now Piqued ;D I waited.

Actually, I wanted to post this video yesterday, but NFL AM,
rarely post video segments on the same day they are aired live.
That type of honour/exposure, is saved for players named Brady,
Manning et cetera ...

Frank is the man. Anyone who thinks he hasn't earned a spot in Canton needs to watch the video above. When the only other running backs who have accomplished what you have are Barry Sanders and the best football player ever, Jim Brown...that speaks for itself. Frank is a sure bet to be a first ballot hall of fame inductee.

I hope so as well ...he's definately in RARE company. My only worry -- and it's Legit -- is if the Haters take control.
Besides others, whom many feel deserve enshrinement ... let's look at one Roger Craig. Walsh had a vision, and Craig
executed it to perfection. IMO, he changed the way his position was played. Still, No Call from The Hall.

I don't think there's any player I want to have a super bowl win more than Frank the Tank! He carried the Niners on his back through some dark years. If not him who would you put in front? Past or present. Just curious.
