Surprised Ricky Watters is that high on the list.

We should have some sort of career rushing yards tracker with polls having us guess which games he'll leapfrog the guys in front of him. Gore is currently listed at #26 on the all time list and I believe he'll end up in the #15-18 range.

I think he will pass Warrick Dunn this season. I think he will be right behind OJ at that #19 spot.

Had Ricky kept his mouth shut more often, he woulda been the greatest all around RB the 49ers ever had..

the guy had some serious talent, skills, and knowledge for the game..

but like our x-Center (Oates) once said .. " He had a major ME first issue when it comes to team"..

I remember SI doing an article on him and how he just kept saying how he "shoulda woulda coulda" won the Heismann if it wasn't for Lou Holtz holding him back..
After this season if he stays healthy, it appears he will be headed to the HOF.

Really good Question. He deserves to get in IMO.

I forget, how many years do you have to be retired before you are eligible? He retired in 2005.

He should be/should have been a first ballot IMO.

To have the amount of yardage he has as the type of back he was is pretty spectacular.

HAHAHA Gore is STILL a BEAST!!

what a VAGINA

I'd love to see what the coaches are gonna say to Ford when they are watching tape
trying to figure out wtf he was thinking... it's not like there was any play action to the other side. He saw where frank and all the blockers were headed. makes no sense.

Right I was thinking the same thing!

Gore's style will translate well as his physical ability deteriorates. I hope we resign him in the offseason. At a team friendly deal of course but there is no reason to put him to pasture when he's still a 1,000+ yard back. There are very few backs in this league with his vision...let alone his blocking ability. I hope he retires a Niner.
