We need better line play. Alex will find the recievers if you give him time and gore will also run. Great line will help both the passing and running game and gore is still a great back

I'd take a 2nd rounder for him. Use that on Jerry Huges or Brandon Graham.

Bill Walsh would have done it.
Make it happen though he will be missed.

yeah blame it on the Oline
the OLine was so bad at blocking that the grass tackled gore on a few plays today

He's not a top 5 back anymore and I doubt he will ever get back to that form. I'd prefer to dump him after we have his successor, just like we did to Barlow for Gore. But I think trading him would piss off a lot of players.
You don't think we could get any compensation in a trade for Gore?
I agree with trade him if we are gonna stay with a spread style offense but only if we can get a 2nd + rounder or a good player in return for Gore
I will miss him though, even though he broke my heart today

I would think that no caoches in thier right mind would trade theyre draft picks for a back with ankle problems and yes he has ankle problems, two major knee surgeries, for a first round pick maybe a second and fourth at best or a young very raw talent considering his time in the nfl. If any team would trade for him it would have to be a two back system with a legitemate chance at the post season looking to make a run for a championship alla patriots, jets, maybe the bengals you know something that would really put them over the top. The thing with Gore is he is an elite back hes just not really awesome at any one thing more of an accumuletive value at all things, he can run you over, run away from you, a little bit of everything, hes a jack of all trades and a master of none. I love the guy for what hes done but it may be time to look elsewhere.

+1. I think he's not the same guy he used to be, and he's losing it. It hurts too because I have his jersey(the authentic). But when he doesn't produce, and then he coughs up the game too, it's pretty unforgivable for me. Even Bill Walsh said "it's better to trade a player a year too soon than a year too late". The difference is if you get rid of a guy too soon, you get a return back usually. A year too late and nobody wants the player.
He has a serious fumbling problem for a running back. In 3 and a half real years of playing time, he has 20 career fumbles. We need a player that can hold onto the damn ball. I want Spiller, but it's going to suck if Gore is finished even though he's pissed me off a few times(fumbling the game away, stumbling at the AZ 1 last year, etc.)

Wow
2 80 yard TD's in the first game = "We love you"
1 fumble lost in the second game = "We can never forgive you, please trade him"
Sometimes my fellow faithful really disappoint me.

No one would trade a first rounder for him.
Just look around the league, RB's are a dime a dozen. Why trade for a top paid one who is old for a RB

Just had to create an ID to expand on this.
A lot of you are really clueless.
1. Adrian Peterson fumbles more than Frank Gore (5 vs 1). Maybe they shoudl trade Peterson.
2. Peterson could do nothing against Arizona and nothing if he was on this team.
3. Jimmy Raye SUCKS. Always has, always will. Career average is 18th as an OC. A stat padded by Eric Dickerson's epic season.
4. Coffee?
LMAO!!!!! Some of you are beyond stupid.I could go on all day.

It looks as if we'll be getting another OC next season, setting us back another 2 or 3 years. We have young WR's who will have time to develop and benefit from a new OC.. But Gore doesn't have that long to sit around and wait... 3 More seasons and he will be past his prime.. Would you consider moving him for players or draft picks???
I say go for it, then sign Sproles in FA -- perfect back for a Spread offense.
