The Broncos being unable to stop the run or tackle really hid how mediocre Mahomes was in this game.

Yeah maybe 4 years ago when he also had receivers to throw the ball to. Mahones still didnt have a good game and that's because his receivers are either washed (kelce) or just aren't very good. Rice the thug is decent but i wouldn't call him close to elite.

Well, not concerned about facing the Broncos and the Chiefs, not so much either. Without Walker, how "good" would they have even been? They are relying on him more than we do with CMC! I can't wait for our D to take that little f**ker down .

It's almost embarrassing reading some of yall comments.
We have one week in the bank. ONE.
People calling teams trash or champs. I'm all for being positive and wanting certain teams to do good or bad but it's been one game. If one week we lose some people will be calling for heads to roll.
Take it week to week like most players say and half way through we will have a way better understanding of how the season may go. Not after week one. Too many things can happen.

Some fans are just idiots. They over react from game to game. Even from play to play.

Seahawks shouldn't have let walker go. He's arguably probably the best running back in the NFL right now but it's good for us though- one less headache to worry about

I'm guessing that a lot of their fans were thinking the same thing last night. His cuts and change of direction were really impressive last night.

I think it's because he's taking up too much of the salary cap like all top-tier QB's. More of the burden gets put on their shoulders as other players get cut or let go. Think Russell Wilson. Niners are doing ok so far but Purdy's cap hit takes a big leap in 2 years. Will a lot of good rookies(cheap) coming in make up for it?
Btw-Mahomes cap hit NEXT YEAR will be $90 million. Then it's 85,83, 74,65,68,70. Unsustainable unless you factor in the non guaranteed years after '28. I don't get it.

I have been shocked about the media/influencer over reactions after week 1.

its getting worse.

Some teams are now going undefeated and others their season is already over.

due to the shortened preseason and lengthened season I think weeks 1 and 2 are essentially preseason games with starters now.

Broncos D will be improved by the time we see them.

As always the refs will keep KC in the game when we play them.
