NFL Trade Deadline 2025

Trade deadline is only three weeks away and Niners are in need of some reinforcements. The three biggest needs IMO are as follows:

1. Offensive line help
2. Edge rusher
3. ILB

I listed these in order of importance as I see it. Do you agree with the list and the order? I am hoping the Niners trade for a veteran LG like Joel Bitonio or Wyatt Teller from the Browns and Kingsley Enagbare DE from the Packers at the minimum. I would let Bethune and Nick Martin fill in for Fred instead of trying to replace him with someone else. I would also consider trading some of the locker room cancers and bad contracts at WR if they get the right price. What would you do?

I don't see a trade for an offensive lineman in the near future. I cannot think of a list of starting OL who were traded, in particular not during a season. OL are signed in FA, off of practice squad or drafted.

we traded for Trent because he wanted out of Washington. But that's rare. You want young, developmental guys and not players in the 30s who lost a step. We got plenty of them already. If the front office is desperate they might go for Bozeman but what's the point in taxing the future. There has to be any last year SEC starter unsigned out there.

if the recovery schedule for Fred is three months, he could return for a championship game or SB. Even if the likelihood is as fractured.

i see the niners make a trade for an edge rusher but with so many problems it might not be a blockbuster trade anyway. Apparently, we are not just one addition away from being a contender.

the dolphins are in cap hell, the saints as well and the bills are heading there. Perhaps, you can get an OL from there if they go on a fire sale mode. But the thing is, regarding to your last point, you cannot trade away players with bad contracts. It turns into dead money.

you can trade away players with little or no guarantees. Therefore, we might trade for Chubb. That's the only realistic thing I see. The rest is Madden franchise mode talk.

I really doubt they'll trade for O-line during the season. For one no team is gonna give you a starter on the OL. Two, they have O-lineman on the team that can step in and start. Problem his they won't change up the lineup unless there's an injury. Switch up Brendel and Colby for Hennessy/Moss and Bartch and I bet you'll see improvement.

Edge rusher is where they need help the most, coming in second is DT. I would love it if they came away with say for example Bradley Chubb and Davon Godchaux. I know for sure it ain't gonna be Trey Hendrickson and Jeffery Simmons.

And addition by subtraction please bench Luke Gifford #57. Dude is garbage and invisible on the field. I don't ever remember making one play let alone being in on a play. Put in Curtis Robinson over that scrub.
Eric Kendricks is still out there . Dude had 138 tackles last season. Give him a workout atleast.

Wouldn't hurt. He can still play

I think they're over him with what he did last year.

Yeah F that dude, they can bring in someone else who doesn't bullsh!t
Trade Jennings and Guerendo because they don't have a role in the offense anymore

Chubb's contract has a cap hit of $31 million per the next two seasons. Don't think the Niners can handle that kind of cap hit along with his injury history.

What if we trade for him and then trade him again after this season? I'm surprised people don't talk about this more, Rams admitted they were trying to do this with Khalil Mack in 2018.
Brown got decent to good stats, he's still young and not injured. Gross Matos has good stats, when he's able to get back on the field (maybe soon) let him play a little and pad those stats. Then trade BOFUM! Also trade anyone who doesn't really want to be here

A lot of teams are starting to pile up on injuries, especially teams who have been going to playoffs few years in a row... wear n tear cometh!
Money is the issue?!

Fine, then get Jalen Reeves Maybin and Cam Jordan (4th or 5th rd and a player may do) for depth and experience / leadership

A solid / good safety could go a long way for us, especially the way injuries pop out of nowhere
