I doubt that Saleh is on the radar for HC spots in 2026. If the defense finishes strong this year and next year 49ers have a top defense, then he will have a good shot in 2027.

After this weekend's games, I think either Gannon or Stefanski are most likely to be fired before the season ends.

Word on the street is the GM did not want to make that trade, but the Haslems forced him to. They may actually like the GM.

If either of those things are true, they have the power to keep him as GM. But we shall see what they actually do.

This week's hot seat games

Bengals +6 @ Bills. A Bengals win and the temperature is off Taylor. If that happens McDermott could be on the hot seat.
Titans +4.5 @ Browns. A loss to the Titans and Stefanski is gone.
Dolphins -2.5 @ Jets. McDaniel is likely gone at the end of the season and a loss to the Jets will ensure that happens.
Broncos -7.5 @ Raiders. This one could get ugly fast and I can't see Carroll surviving this disastrous season.
Rams -7.5 @ Cardinals. A bad loss here and Gannon could be gone.

The vikings HC should be canned asap.

Didnt they have Cousins, Darnold and Daniel Jones on their roster? and they somehow they thought their current options were better? lol what a dumbass.

I wonder what O'Connell would be willing to give up to get Mac Jones as insurance for the McCarthy's poor performance and injury concerns. If Vikings are bad next year then O'Connell will be gone. He might be safe this year but another bad season along with Darnold's Seattle success does not bode well for him.

I think he's probably their best option, and cheap for a year, so it's two 2nd's minimum. I'd hold out for a 1st

Pete never should have rolled the dice with Geno. That cost him. But who saw Geno playing as poorly as he has played from the moment the season started? Was Geno ready to call it quits? And just came back for a year of abuse for a big payday? I do wonder. Because Geno hasn't looked anything like Geno this season.

I would really like to travel back in time to see who made the decision to pull the draft trigger on Russell Wilson. Who did that? Was it Pete? The GM whom Pete selected? Ownership?

I could see Geno following the Kirk Cousins trajectory. Raiders will have an expensive backup QB sitting behind a rookie QB.
