I would have actually been somewhat upset if we traded 2 firsts for a 29 year old, highly paid de. Insanity

There is a lot of volume and quality in this free agency class, which lines up perfectly for the Niners situation.

They don't need top tier overpaid guys; they need DEPTH. Plug n plays or young guys that have yet to put it altogether but flashed; or are solid, unflashy contributors.

RB: Would love to see Rico Dowdle or Gainwell
WR: Would love to see Romeo Doubs; feels absurd to say but on the cheap and strictly for depth and familiarity, Deebo as a gadget wr 3.
DEF: Kwity Paye, Tremaine Edmunds, a ton of others come to mind
OL: Seems like they may have a better chance nabbing a guard more than a tackle but there are some dudes out there for certain

I think this FA class and draft line up really well with where the niners are at and what they need.

This was a good deal for all. The Ravens got an elite edge rusher. Crosby gets to play for a team with a reasonable chance of getting into the playoffs and maybe the SB. The Raiders get 2 first round picks to start rebuilding their woeful franchise.

The Niners had no chance of beating that deal and the salary would have been too high. You can't be paying $60 million plus per year for 2 edge rushers. That's 20% of your cap. Not when you have 3 or 4 others making around that same salary.

Should have taken the Cowboys offer tbh.

Atleast it wasn't the Eagles or Cowboys who were both rumored to be in the mix. Two 1st RD picks+ having to pay him 30+ Million is alot. Plus isn't the Ravens 2026 1st RD pick pretty high considering they missed the playoffs? So it's two 1st RD picks including a mid 1st RD pick.

Yup, me too. The funny thing is, if Lynch did trade a ton of picks and we didn't win the SB, a lot of these same crybabies would then be calling for Lynch to be fired because he gave up too much for an impact player. Whiners are just gonna whine I guess. But I really do feel bad for the younger fans who were not around when the Niners were so dominant.....I hope they get to experience the 49ers winning some more SB's.

I hated not picking in round 1 all those years for Trey Lance.

What a complete disaster this regime has done at QB. We all knew Kirk Cousins was coming to SF but Lynch got FOMO overrided Kyle and traded for bum ass Jimmy. Then he trades up, giving away several picks not even knowing who's going to be there when we all knew Kyle wanted Mac. Thank god we lucked out with Purdy at least.

Wash was never going to lets us get cousins and we couldn't wait another year just to see him get franchised again

That's my point 😂 it was a slam dunk easy decision to go with Kirk or go with Mac while not the sexiest choice at the time you didn't need a crystal ball to see they would have been perfect for Kyle's system

If I'm not mistaken we traded for Jimmy the same offseason Kirk was going to be available and there was no way Washington could franchise him a 3rd time.
