Meh, with whom? Ward and Hargreaves. Ward was OK, but neither really move the needle as far as superstars. McDuffie is 26 and already a two time All-Pro. CMC, TW, and Justin Smith come to mind obviously as greast gets. Superstars usually work ou,t I guess is my point. Mid-tier and reclamation guys may contribute but aren't really difference makers. IMO

Maybe McDuffie is another Sneed, a "probowl elite" CB the chiefs had to trade due to salary. After he left the chiefs, he suddenly didn't look the same. We'll see

Maybe. But Sneed was never even a ProBowler, much less an All Pro.

I don't care much about fluff probowls. Take a look at his #s and advanced metrics from his time in kc to Tennessee. He didn't just forget how to play football. Kc has had an elite DC, with CB-friendly front 7/pressures/etc. is all I'm saying. I don't expect McDuffie to be some mediocre player in LA but just something to think about

You know Max is a hell of a player and we felt he'd fit in here but in the long run we really like the guys we have on defense especially our DL room..guys like Evan Anderson and Sebastian Valdez. Guys that understand the Niner way and don't complain about not getting to go to Cabo with Kyle and his boys, guys you need in the organization to be successful. So we'll go to war with those guys next year and we're excited about their future here"
