NFL Hall of Fame SafetyKenny Easley Dead at 66
Interesting 49ers angle to this: Easley was taken with the 4th pick in the 1981 draft by the Seattle Seahawks. If stories from the SF Chronicle are to be believed, the move greatly upset Bill Walsh. He wanted Easley. But by the time the 49ers made their selection, the 8th pick of the 1981 draft, Easley was long gone. So, Walsh calmly moved to his second choice on his draft list, USC's Ronnie Lott.
