I doubt he has interest in coming back for a couple touches a game
Usually I would agree... but if he is at the end of his career.. this might be a pretty good gig. Get paid well to practice and get a few plays on Sunday. Might save his life down the road.
Only problem is, if he's needed at an important part of a game in the playoffs. His head wouldn't be all there, and something bad might happen.
You can only mentally "prepare as if you're going to start" for so long.
What a waste of a signing by the FO. Not the first time we have signed/drafted someone talented, and not used them.
Robinson is okay. I wouldn't call him "talented". I'd rather we let him walk.
Agreed. It's also apparent Kyle either loves CMC or doesn't like big power backs. So bring in someone cheap: Keaton Mitchell (who is an absolute blur), Sean Tucker, or Jaleel McGlaughlin.
or resign Patrick Taylor![]()
my God man what does Kyle see in him????
LOL. I thought you were joking. They did resign that dude. Yikes. So many better options still, Emanuel Wilson, Rachaad White, McGlaughlin, Jerome Ford. s**t, I'm taking Dameon Pierce and Khalil Herbert over Taylor....easy.
Of course they resigned him, he was hurt all last season.

Why the hate? Taylor is a reliable locker room guy and #3 back. Would any of your guys play for vet minimum? He's a good guy to have around and wont choke if his number is called off the bench.

I see your point, but meh. They probably wouldn't play for vet minimum. CMC is 30, would rather have a proven back up to his back up just to be safe. Who is CMC back up at this point? James? Guerendo? TBD? The way NFL RBs get injured and given how weak this draft is at RB, would like them to sign another vet.

James looked good when his number was called. Why draft all these players and not them chance? At one point you need to let them play.

Well to be fair, as good as Kyle is a finding UDFA RB: Mostert and Mason, he sucks at drafting them: TDP, Sermon, Joe Williams, Guerendo. He's prolly gun shy about starting anyone he drafts.

I dont get it, whats the problem with Isaac Guerendo? he averaged 5 yards a carry, no fumbles, 5 TDs and 420 yeards on only 84 carries in 2024. Then he did not get the ball once in 2025. On top of that he caught 15 of the 16 passes thrown to him for 152 yards. He has the right size, great speed. Am i missing something?

Honestly have no idea how Gurendo didn't see snaps on offense, maybe it was his pass blocking? Because I remember him destroying that Seattle defense in 2024. I hope he has a good camp and we get to see him earn some snaps on offense this upcoming season.

Supposedly the day before getting Brian Robinson Gurrendo had an awful practice where he fumbled 4 or 5 times.
I agree with you that he should be getting more opportunities - the team is crying out for more speed

He was a solid backup. I hope he goes on to have a great career for the Falcons but not against the 9ers.

He did ok as the year went on. Didn't get to play much. He didn't give us the threat of receiving the ball so they kept CMC in
I like that we are actually signing some free agent depth this year. We had to cut back last year which was needed. Then we didn't fill all the holes in the draft or wouldn't play the ones we did get. . We had to make trades like this one. He didn't seem like a match to keep him but now we don't have the player or the pick. ame with Moore. The trades need to be more like White where we get multiple years if we use a pick.
