And coaches clearly have an expiration date, all these dudes just start to lose their magic touch after awhile. Belichick was getting carried by Brady his last few years, Pete was done several seasons before he left Seattle, guessing that Reid will go only as far as Mahomes takes him the rest of his career.

Its a stress filled job that requires constant change and adjustment and I think there's a certain point where these old guys just really get stuck in their ways and don't switch things up anymore. Like check out the KC staff, even the younger guys there have been around for at least a decade. That leads to things getting stagnant and predictable over time.

Maye getting sacked 15 times in the playoffs and 47 in the regular season really showed up tonight with his lack of awareness.
The thing that sucks the most…..at our best over the past 5 years…..we were never this good on defense.
So this is the guy that won coach of the year? LOL for real.

That is part of the thing with Kyle, we are going on 10 years next season. How many coaches stay that long and win their first SB? Usually you win one your first few years and get kept around cause you won one.
The only way to counter this is drafting an o-line that can handle them.

Looked like trash all game. But hey, he's gonna win a Super Bowl.

thats one of the reasons the whole "qb wins" narrative is so dumb and tiresome. but people will continue to do this for some weird reason. they will even go on and say "qb x outdueled qb y"...which makes no sense whatsoever as theyre not playing the same defense

Kyle has gotten close enough and is young enough that I don't see any need to move on from him but he does need to make some adjustments, to his playcalling, to his staff and especially to how they go about acquiring talent and the things they prioritize. I think he's safe for a few more years to show what he can do and how he responds to a shellacking from a division opponent.

I've been saying that since our loss to LA in 2021. Albeit in less eloquent terms. Need to move on. We need fresh blood. Fresh ideas.
Maye never be the same

We held the Chiefs, who are a lot better of an offense, to 3 points in the half. Greenlaw getting hurt completely f***cked us.
