lol he didn't do anything. Just threw up a blind bomb and Durant inexplicably left his man.

I've noticed something, which is, you tend to use LOL as a response. It can be used as funny, but in today's climate,
it's mostly used as a clap-back or a point of disagreement. I'll take it that you meant the latter. My question to you, is
why?

Aside from Caleb's obvious arm talent, where in that one sentence, did I hurl a superlative in his direction for that TD
throw? The key words in that sentence, were: Movies & Theatrics. And, that's all it was, and all I meant by my post.
I've been watching the game of football a long time; I've seen many a Hail Mary, but none the likes of that one.

As to the bold, yes he did … although I doubt it was the way Ben Johnson drew the play up. I rewatched that play over
again several time before responding to you. After his retreat, he did quickly glance downfield, which tells me he had an
idea where Kmet should be, and to top it off, both his feet were off the ground as he launched that ball 55-Yards downfield;
that's not an easy task!

Truth be told, I don't even like 'Fingernail Polish', as Hysterikal likes to call him - he's not my kind of QB, despite the
"I can make any throw" mindset. To end, the throw was just as I stated, movie like theatrics, the likes of which one
would see in a football movie straight out of Hollywood, except it really did happen.

"lol" implies sarcastic, light-hearted disagreement.

People tend to sensationalize everything. I guess my response was more of an eyeroll to the general idea that CW made some type of legendary play, just using your post as the basis for my opinion.

He retreated backwards 25 yards and heaved up a ball that should have easily been knocked away, but the defender made a critical mistake to leave him wide open. I just think the focus of the play should have been on what Durant was thinking vs what Williams did.

That ball traveled 50 yards on a line while he was going backwards and his feet weren't even planted...that's impressive arm talent. Only 2-3 other guys in this league can do that compound the pressure of that moment in a playoff game is makes it even more special.

Impressive arm talent, but it still should have been picked if Durant played it correctly. Regardless of his arm, he's going to have to adjust to what defenses will do to stop him with his new film. That's what determines if a QB is legit. His numbers don't match the hype. People get mesmerized with arm talent and draft position.

He's a 2nd year guy who won 11 games this year, an improvement of +5 with 6 of those as come back wins. Right now he's developing in the right direction. Lets see if the bears get him a receiver that cares about football as much as he clearly does and sky's the limit.

58.1 comp.%, 90.1 passer rating, 6.9 y/a. Next year defenses will have the film on his 2025 season and plan to stop what he did well. Im highly skeptical he will have the answers if those are the numbers he's putting up when he had defenses off guard.

We'll see but I don't believe he's collapsing any time soon, he's 24 and a 2nd year player and he's already got his team competing.

We were all convinced Colin Kaepernick was legit. He had us contending for a SB, had a big time arm, elite runner. Defenses adjusted and he had no answer. Stroud took big steps backwards after a great start. Daniels too. There are just too many things that have to play out first before I'll believe he's legit.
Enjoy watching either the rams or Seahawks going to the Super Bowl today! Thanks shanahan!

Awww it's so sad that life doesn't revolve around what you want. Awww
… anyway, Darnold split reps all week with Drew Locke, and Charbonnet is out completely so it looks like the Rams will likely be going to the Super Bowl. I just hope that "Stidy" can become the next Foles or Hostetler or Doug Williams or ….
Pulling for the Broncos today. Fully expect them to get completely stomped.
