I think the Chiefs will Chief this year (make the playoffs etc. etc.) but this could be the year the the Chargers take the division.

Chargers looking good. Broncos still a threat and Raiders (at least) have a competent HC with more weapons. Queefs gotta fold sooner or later, they've played the most ball of all teams for the past several years. They're no longer like the Patriots back in the days taking advantage of a weak division...

i agree the division is catching up to KC. Hopefully this is the year they get pushed around

I don't see the raiders winning but Pete Carroll led teams are tough. They almost always play at least good enough to win, rarely see them get rolled.

broncos are going to be a tough team. I still think bo nix is a mediocre qb, at best, but their defense is going to be a problem. Especially if they win the division and host playoff games in that altitude.

Harbaughs teams are always tough too. He has a good squad that's playing at a high level. They'll be 2 tough games.

IMO KC is still a good team who will compete for
the chip cause of their HOF QB, HOF HC, HOF DC, and elite ST coach. Their talent is still good but it's declined and their best players are getting older. Their offensive weapons have declined in the last few years.

overall, tough division to be in. Those division games will be battles that anyone can win, IMO.

Didn't watch any of it. Nice to see that the Chiefs lost but I never put too much into any early season games.

good points. pretty crazy that the division coaches are Reid, Harbaugh, Payton, and Carrol. Probably all future hall of fame coaches, I wonder if a division has ever had this type of head coach pedigree.

KC's formula the last couple years has been to rely on the defense to keep things close and then rely on Mahomes to be Mahomes and pull off low percentage 1st down conversions/scores.

Their offense rarely just blows people put anymore like they did in 2018-2022. If their defense has lost a step from 2023-2024 or if Mahomes has a reason to miss games they'll get behind in that division quick.

The way they play now reminds me a lot, generally, of when Seattle relied on the Legion of Boom and out-of-his-ass plays by Wilson. Mahomes is even better at it than Wilson was.

Same. Not giving any Chiefs' primetime games my eyeballs. I'm sick and tired of them getting shoved down our throats.

Even with the NFL serving the Chiefs the most generous homes games I've ever seen they still cant take care of the one road game vs a decent team.

You can't blame the networks. They're going to show the teams that are popular and right now the Chiefs are. I'm talking about the football team not the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce engagement.
