  • Wes Welker, most success with the Patriots
  • Drew Pearson, Cowboy

Yeah, he can't catch except he had 87 college catches. And the chest catching thing isn't as bad as it's made out to be either. What bother me is he jumps to catch when he doesn't need to. That actually bugs me more than letting the ball get to his chest so much. He's INCREDIBLY raw and there is virtually no chance he makes the 53. But he's not so bad he can't catch the ball. His Texas position coach said he ran 4.3s all day in the 40, so I looked for combine notes and apparently he was suffering cramps when he ran a 4.41. Dude is absolutely an athletic freak.

It's somewhat telling of his mentality, his health, and his coaches that he was a freshman for 3 years in Wyoming, then missed a year, then went to Texas, then to Nebraska, and I remember there being some story about him entering and exiting the transfer portal when with Nebraska too. Doesn't really sound like he's had the most stable time of things.

I like the idea of just giving him to Hankerson to see what he can make out of him.

Ya his hands aren't his biggest issues, he's not that bad. Even if he was, that can be taught as long as he's training hard at it. It's the X's and O's he struggles with, and having more than 2-3 routes that he can run. That takes time and it doesn't always work out. He wont' be the first or the last freak athlete that can't adapt.

Now that Kittle has put the spotlight on him, one can only hope that in the time he has before training camp begins that Neyor will find a JUGS machine somewhere and start learning to catch with his hands and not his body. This goes back to what McCaffrey said at the team's send off. "Use the time to make yourself better so that you can help the team win games."

I wish the CBA allowed super raw prospects like him to work with their position coaches without limit.
He's the type of player that's worth a shot but you can't expect too much. If he ends up being a good player great. If not they didn't invest anything.
I think either he plays really good in preseason, thus either he makes the 53, or gets cut & claimed, or we don't play him much, sneak him through waivers, get him to the PS.

Does Neyor have KR or PR experience? Cause right now I have Junior Bergen as the 5th WR/KR/PR.

PR KR has to have exceptional hands ... Neyors hands are not terrible, but they are definitely not up to this level.

Ok, wasn't sure, I think Bergen is front runner to be KR/PR or one of them with either Guerendo or Cowing.
Bergen will be the returner . It's been years since we had a return threat and he fits the bill .

Unless he proves he can't do it. Considering he was supposedly Boyer's personal pick, odds are he's the one.
