You are, of course, right. I am, of course, WRONG. Again. Which is not a rare thing. Less than ten minutes after putting the "we don't need a CB" into print, the 49ers drafted a CB.

I hate when I accidently click a li k and it takes me to his articles or videos. I dislike and report this slimeball every chance I get. I wish we could replace him with someone that actually likes the 49ers.

Grant Cohn does a good at covering the 49ers. Can be a little negative but he's out there reporting. I would say he invents content to keep people engaged with his channel which is often a waste of the reader's time.

Isn't a Homer fan. Leans towards controversy and challenges the establishment. Can be very snarky. I like him 🤷🏾♂?

I can see how the team and the coaches really dislike him because of his condescending tone towards them. It seems like every article he spits out he's telling them what they're doing wrong and what they should be doing instead. I don't think all sports reporters are like this right.

He would be tolerable if he didn't always make stupid snarky comments… but more on him in a minute.
Apperently he leaked out that Brock Purdys wife is pregnant
Grant doesn't bother me like a lot of Niners fans, but that's not cool.

This. Nobody really asks our FO any real tough questions. just softballs except for Grant. Now he does go over the top with some of his takes. I just don't agree and move on. Now he does just make up random content but tha's just part of the hustle of today. I just skip over or bypass the BS

Who cares if she's pregnant and what's more, why the hell does he care? Oh maybe he's a sterile dumbass so he's jealous, that's probably why

His manner of talking, tweeting, etc. can be really annoying.
Having said that, having met him and his dad at a mutual friend's house, they're ok in a non football broadcasting context.....even talking Niners.
What is definitely consistent about them in real life and their beat writer personas, is their 100% conviction that Kyle is holding the team back from winning a Super Bowl. Lowell said it as a matter of fact without emotion, and Grant snickered when I told him "to be nice to Kyle this season".

I used to just skip his articles because he was so annoying and condescending, especially calling out players physicality when he wasn't a player himself. And he used to ONLY point out the downsides of players and coaches.
LATELY, I feel like while he still focuses more on the negative, he does make fair points about deficiencies and risky decisions, especially in the coaching or management. It's good to get another "sober" opinion instead of just rah-rah homer reporter opinions imho.
Lastly, I do think he is unfair to Purdy - but that is a very common thing with commentators saying "he can't carry a team to a win" by being the Mahomes super hero. But I ask - who else is? Lamar Jackson makes heroic plays - won a division title or been in a Superbowl? Josh Allen? Joe Borrow did get to the Superbowl and just like Purdy played that game close and lost. Purdy didn't fumble away an early possession - that was McCaffrey. Anyway, you get my point.

Job one for writers or bloggers is to get people to read them and create buzz. Cohn does that. Howard Cosell was always controversial. On Tuesday after the Monday night football game he was often talked about more than the game itself. Some of the best writers in SF history were guys like Glenn Dickey and Ray Ratto. Both were loved by some and hated by many because they didn't just write nice things about the local teams.
