To start... these two..

Jayden Daniels
My God. 5 TDs vs that hot Eagles defense. Keeping their playoff hopes alive. Game winning drive to end to basically ice the game. This is such great experience for him come playoff time. These tough games have playoff like atmospheres.

Seems the Panthers made the right move sticking and not giving up on Young. Last year I felt they should have been ready to move on. His body language was pretty depressing, with him keeping his head down after bad plays or plays that didn't go his way. Looked too small for the position. But damn does he look different this late in the season. Even stood in there and took a hard hit to complete a pass over the middle.

Washington landed Lamar Jackson 2.0. If they can keep him healthy he'll be a superstar for the next decade.

My God... I watched the game live... but here are the highlights of Young vs Penix

Some feel we'll have an easy schedule next year because we'll face the NFC South.. but heck the NFC South in 2025 might be the NFC North from 2024 (with the Saints being the Bears lol).

And Bo Nix looked great today, although Chiefs backups. Really looking forward to see Nix perform in the playoffs. At Buffalo vs Josh Allen and the Bills defense.

It's so nuts to see Dan Quinn go for it on 4th over and over and over ..and trust his rookie QB.

The confidence he has built in this kid..on this run...is off the charts...is priceless. That's what's taking them so far. They just expect to get those damn 2-3 yards. Or a TD when needed.

Just balls to the wall and see what happens.

Had the Lions so shook by the end of the game, they started f**king up just trying to line up.

Goff shrinks when the lights are brightest. It's why McVay moved on from him and it's why Detroit will probably eventually do the same.

Aside from that it always felt they would reach a point like last year where they out smarted themselves or got too aggressive against common sense.

Happened sooner than I expected though.

Daniels is the opposite. The difference between a rookie and mid vet was obvious today.

Depends, can Daniel's progress in the future

Rookie pick 262 made it to a NFCCG not too long ago

Daniels has all the physical tools to continue to dominate as he mentally develops. Purdy does not and will have to continue to overcome with the mental side of the game, with any luck he can again get ahead of DC"S in this league that started figuring out his tendencies this past season.

Same was said about stroud, richardson, Etc

Brock already has proven he can do it, you want to crown the next fad?

He's proven what exactly? He's a good QB but he so far hasn't figured out how to finish when it counts the most. This past season he was at times taken apart by DC's who have clearly been studying his tendencies. 12 picks and he missed 2 games this year.

This season is in no way a season to be considered as normal and we just couldn't get it done

as for Proven.. Purdy has carried us in the playoffs and put us ahead in OT of the SB, We couldn't stop them on defense. That's some pretty good tangibles there

Can you explain what happened to CJ Stroud this season? He had all the mental and physical abilities and everyone crowned Stroud as the best rookie QB ever.

Rookie Year: 23 td, 5 int
2nd Year: 20 td, 12 int

And still was 7th in QBR, given the issues with OL, no CMC, no Aiyuk, etc, which is ahead of Jalen Hurts who is the the NFCCG, has a wall of an offensive line, Saquon Barkley rushing for 2k yards, and everything else.

It seems people want to punish Purdy for not being Mahommes, Allen, or Jackson, in spite of him being more accomplished than the latter two. The guy is solidly tier 2 based on all available data.

this is known as sophomore slump. as a young player, there is no 'book' in terms of film of what you are doing and how to shut it down. then DCs get film and see okay this is how we can counter. once a QB is countered, other DCs in the league will copy notice and copy. it's like MLB, if it gets out you can't hit the curveball, you will only see curveballs. so this is when you find out if a QB can play in the league. CJ can play, but he has that challenge same as anyone of adapting to how Ds play him.

it will be the same with daniels, he'll hit a wall at some point and have to adjust.
