Umm, you do know that that preseason game got 2.2 million viewers, right. You do know his jersey is the highest selling jersey for all rookies, right? Shedeur came into the league already having a brand. And it you don't think Shedeur is making the team at this point I would suggest that you get off the narcotic, because you have to high if you honestly think, at this point, Shedeur has to concentrate on making the Browns roster. No Sir, he's made the team. By the end of preseason he's gonna be QB2, at worst. Book that.

I don't buy into the conspiracy that he is some all world QB that all 32 teams conspired against. Maybe he just isn't that good.

Sir, in what world is that an open competition? That lopsided rep distribution don't speak to an open competition. It speaks to a coaching staff trying to justify the pick, which is the antithesis to the idea of an open competition. And according to all reports Gabreil looked horrible. They were calling for Sanders in camp the day Shedeur didn't practice with arm soreness. Gabriel went 3/14 that day. With numbers like that you'd think Shedeur would have earned more looks with the 1's. This was never an open competition, and they never wanted it to be.

Open competition in the sense that the browns don't have their qb locked so Sanders has a chance to take it. It's not complicated of course Gabriel has more reps he was picked much higher . Do I think Sanders starts week 1? Probably not, does he start sometime in the season? I can see it happening. Either way your infatuation with sanders seems a bit much. Then don't BS the public with this "open competition" crap. So thanks for proving my point. This was never a real competition, and was never going to be. And I dare say that they drafted Sanders with no real intention with giving him anything close to shot at seeing the field in any significant capacity, no matter how well he played. This whole Shedeur circus has proven to be nothing more than one big gaslighting exercise. And it's a shame because Shedeur hasn't done anything to earn this. Even if he did intentionally tank an interview (which I don't believe) it don't earn this.

It's not an infatuation. I just want to see him handled fairly, which he clearly has not. What this Shedeur circus is showing is that this whole meritocracy rhetoric that the NFL so often boasts about is being exposed as complete and utter bullsh!t. Am I a fan of Shedeur? Yes. I am a big fan of his father who helped us win a SB. So yes, I wanna see him succeed (that is unless he's playing the 49ers). This includes being given an honest chance. And to this point, his "chance" has been given most dishonestly.

The local fan base - and this is something the national media is purposely under reporting - is seething behind how Shedeur is being handle by the Brown. They have watched Shedeur be purposely under-drafted, they know full well that he's the most talented QB on their roster, they have watched him out-perform Dillon Gabriel at every point to date (rookie camp, training camp, and preseason games) in what was told to the whole world as an "open competition" by Stefanski & Co. But yet the fans consistently see Shedeur put behind one QB he's clearly out-performed and another QB who's yet to even be available and to-date has been hot garbage in the NFL.

You asked if I though if he should start week 1. At this point it's pointless to even ask. The way this is looking, I don't think he makes any starts for the Browns unless everyone gets injured. In a normal situation, a team won't even think of keeping 4 QB's on the active roster. QB's 4th on the depth chart are sent to the PS. But we all know Shedeur won't see the PS, and we all know why. Based on Shedeur's performance thus far he won't last 5 minutes on the PS. So the way I see this playing out is the Browns are gonna hold him on the active roster as an emergency QB, basically as a hostage, so that no other team can pick him up. And the local fans are gonna revolt, all season long. Not me, I'm not a Browns fan. But I'm telling you, the locals aren't gonna take this quietly. The fans are gonna make every home game very uncomfortable for Stefanski & Co. and the Browns FO.

And you keep telling yourself that. How is that narrative working on the fans? As I said, the NFL owners created this monster, and the Browns are feeding the monster. How are the Browns feeding it? With 5th round narratives like yours is fueling fans responses. People know Shedeur was unfairly drafted in the 5th. People know he's the most talented QB on the Browns roster. Local Browns fans and the local media watched Shedeur out-perform Dillon Gabriel in rookie camp and training camp, so much so they were openly calling for Shedeur after watching Dillon look like garbage. The Browns were allowed/forced to take him late in the draft but Shadeur used his leverage and smarts to get a contract far better than any player in history and a big chunk of revenue that would have otherwise gone to the owner and league. In order to further undermine Shadeur, the Browns are actively opposed to playing him, and are using one of their 53 roster spots to keep Shadeur away from other teams who would now snap him up in a heartbeat as they all secretly wanted him but were not allowed to draft him. To make matters worse, the mainstream sports media is purposefully not talking about Shadeur's plight. They were part of the frame job and spread the story that Shadeur was an entitled brat with an overbearing father. Thank goodness for brave internetrandoNFLconspiracyguy4356 and his well-sourced reporting or we would never have known all these FACTS!

It all makes perfect sense... but because I take time to understand things, I need to know what will happen if Shadeur is released and picked up by another team. I fear that a team with a really good quarterback and backup quarterback will pick him up. The Browns QB situation is terrible which makes it obvious that they are suppressing Shadeur. This new team with a good starter and backup could use one of their 53 spots but make Shadeur the waterboy and just say "well yeah... Shadeur is just a rookie and we have two really good guys in front him so he doesn't get the reps we would like him to get". Such B.S.

I actually hope that that's exactly what happens; or put him on the PS when it's time. As I stated I think the Browns drafted him with absolutely no intention on letting Shadeur anywhere close to meaningful reps; which begs the obvious question: why they even drafted him in the first place? So I certainly hope they do release him so he can go to a QB needy team of his choice that'll actually give him an honest chance.

I listened to the whole interview. Dickerson only confirmed some things about how the owners have handled Shadeur, he exposed some horrible things about how the NFL owners have, and still do treat the players, especially their retired players. It's horrible. And, after listening to Dickerson I don't wanna ever hear what NFL teams, or the NFL can't afford. I knew the NFL players union was weak. I didn't know it was this weak. It borderlines cowardice.
