Put Cousins on the 49ers in 2018 and they've won at least 1 Superbowl by now.

Mayfield was also thrown on the scrapheap. Sometimes it just takes longer for some players. They need to mature like Mayfield or they just need more time to learn. QB more than any position in sports is dependent on the coach and the players around him. It's the reason half or more of first round picks fail or never become great. They get picked high because those teams usually suck. Sam Darnold is another good exampl. The Niners loved him last year as a backup abut they knew he would leave after one year. Now he's playing well in Minnesota. Did he suddenly get better? I doubt it. He just got with a good temper.

Cousins has always been a solid performer but he never payed on a great team. Not a team good enough to get to the SB. Kyle wanted him back in 2018. Imagine how good he could have been on the Niners from 2018 until now. He's certainly better than JG and they got to the SB with him.

Lmfao, let's not act like the Vikings were the pre- Campbell Lions.They had flaws, but plenty of talent. Cousins is also part to blame for why they never made it any further than the divisional round.
