Two Brocks are better than one.

Don't know much about him, but decent stats prior to Laporta and still young

Kind of a head scratcher. Subpar blocker that has some upside as a receiver. Another Dwelley type. If the Lions don't match then the 49ers wouldn't have to give up a pick since he was UDFA.

But was it the Wright move?

Either one, or both, of the TEs they drafted in 2023 draft must be looking kinda bust-ish. Otherwise why not develop them?

They got desperate and picked from the very bottom of a loaded TE draft.

Yeah, that is pretty telling.

I don't yet know the details of the contract, maybe BW is a camp body, or competition for those 2nd year TE's to step up against, if they can.

That's basically the way Kyle and Johnny Boy approach every draft.

This is another move that we can read into and make an educated guess where Kyle wants to take the offense, and what league offenses may trend towards. He drafted two TEs in 2023, and is now semi-aggressive in acquiring a young vet TE. My guess is the slotCB is about to see a reduction in snaps while the third LB is going to see an uptick, league wide, due to more multi-TE personnel groupings (12, 22). The slotCB will still outsnap the 3rd LB, but it won't be as lopsided as the past 4-6 years.
He played some H-back/fullback on school and I wonder if that's the type of player Shanny envisions replacing Juice when he's gone

Papa just said he's a better run blocker than receiver. He's had 43 catches in 3 seasons.
Any relation to Nick Wright?
