It was a wasted pick i get it. All of their RBs drafted haven't fared well, i get it. But you can't deny the impact of CMC to this offense. And that reason alone is why you will continue to see these picks. Just pray they don't swing and miss on one in rd 1.

If they were more consistent in round 1 coupled with their mid to late draft home runs this team would have been even more ridiculous.

Davis-Price must have really not been showing much to the coaches. He was let go despite the RB room looking a little thin now with Mitchell hurting (again) and Mason having a recent hamstring issue. They have McNichols on the PS - that's it.
So it appears no team claimed him and he is a free agent. If they do not sign him to the practice squad that says volumes of what they truly think of him

I think he's earned about 2 million already, and if so, it's tough to get motivated and go to work when you don't financially have to. That may be one aspect of his being released. I also liked Mason and Mitchell more than TDP also.
I am not surprised no one claimed him. I am a bit surprised we sign him back to the practice squad.

This thread moves back and forth quicker than TDP on the football field.

Well they signed him to the PS which means they do actually tho k he has some potential . Glad he checked his ego and stayed with niners practice squad
TDP hasn't been a bad player at all he's just gotten basically no opportunities. I like mason better but I do think TDP can be a nice player and glad he is still with us
Good depth

I think it just speaks to how fortunate we were to get CMC, and how much of a surprise Jordan Mason was, that TDP hasn't really produced much for us. Bringing him back on the PS does seem to imply that we like him.
If the above two didn't happen, Elijah Mitchell would've been our starter, and TDP would've gotten more snaps with how much Elijah Mitchell struggles to stay healthy.

Still though. Hate the idea of drafting 3rd round RB's, when Shanahan/Turner have a history of producing with 7th round and UDFA RB's.

Because he has been so terrible in pass blocking, he is unplayable on offense. Also, because he doesn't play ST, the team pretty much have to inactive him on game day. He is going to have a short NFL career if he does not significantly improve on these two areas.
