I do have a question about this new QB rule. On gameday do you have to declare which QB is your emergency QB? Or can you just dress 3 QB's and not have to declare which one is your 3rd QB? And also can you go to that 3rd QB, Even if there is no injury to your backup QB? Like for example your starter gets hurt and your backup comes in but he struggles badly. Can you then bench him and bring your 3rd guy in? Or do both guys have to get hurt for the 3rd guy to play?

my understanding, you have to designate, and that player can only play if QB1 and QB2 are out of the game, due to injury
this opens some door for shenanigans, maybe QB2 is struggling, and he gets a case of the old "benchitis"
so maybe the NFL will independently evaluate, with the independent NFL docs..

The part i don't like is if the doctors clear QB1 or 2 to return, QB3 must come out.

Yep QB1 cleared concussion protocol now take out QB3 and put in QB1, f**k player health.

As for the kickoff rules, why not just adopt the XFL rules? More returns but the structure is safer and special teams coaches still get to scheme things.
