I picked Wilson in the last round of my FF league just because Mitchell will never stay healthy. Didn't expect him to go down this early, but expected nonetheless.

Yeah, this is like Raheem Mostert in 2020/2021.

So Kyle, if you have a really talented and important RB, you may not want to play him in week 1...ever again.

Unfortunately it's probably an ACL and he's done for the year
But if it's just an MCL they can put him on return IR and he can play the second half of the season

Too bad they didn't keep either Sermon or Hasty
Now they need to sign a FA RB ASAP .... Here are a few choices:
Devonta Freeman
Devontae Booker
Wayne Gallman
Latavius Murray
Tarik Cohen
Carlos Hyde
Ito Smith
Shanahan is familiar with Freeman, Gallman and Hyde

Think about it. This team spent 3rd round picks on RB in each of the last two drafts - neither of whom got hurt -- and we are going to need to sign a street FA

This is a run first team, and we run our running backs into the ground until they are injured. That's what it is here.

So do we know what it is yet? Or just speculation at this point? It's a big blow to have him go down. Really bad. We need him.

Those are all horrific options. Freeman would've been good 5 years ago and Cohen is just a walking injury and don't think he's available since he tore his Achilles

Whats the story?
No one knows for sure. Here's the latest, I believe.
Saw #49ers RB Elijah Mitchell leaving the locker room with a substantial brace on his right leg. He was not bending it as he was slowly making his way to the bus, but he was not on crutches.

Not sure about this take.. Mostert blew up 1st game after minimal carries and Mitchell just did the same.. they are not durable RBs imo.. hard to say you are running them into the ground with like 5 carries

"Gained weight in the off-season to better absorb the punishment of a full season."
Great, dude. You increased your shoulder press numbers, as it every injury that's ever occurred isn't knee or ankle related. I hope some day our training staff figure out that pliability is more important than "putting on weight."
